we have heard about the change in culture around Valley Ranch the past two weeks with increased discipline, hitting etc BUT what have you see with your own two eyes these past two games?

-definite change in body posture....the way the players carry themselves seems to be different and winning a couple games will do wonders for your confidence

-saw adjustments ingame specifically giving Davis and Columbo some help after the two were beaten badly resulting in a safety

-Scandrick is now making plays. I almost was ready to write him off but his confidence and aggressiveness seem to be at a much higher level

-the team actually had fun especially with the Kitna keeper for a td. Loved the smiles

many of the decisions made by Wade this year had a tinge of desperation to them and I have to beleive the team senses that resulting in tighter play

I see more rookies or young players being given a chance to contribute these past two games....Lee makes plays when he is in the game; Butler is out there giving D ware a rest and he flashes on the screen
Of course, Mc Cann. Can you remember a rookie having such an impact in a two game span ever?

I was ready to kill Beuhler after he kicked the ball out of bounds, but Garrett gave him a pat on the butt. Hmmm

He is sticking with the run, making some excellent play calls at the right time... Felix screens, Barber draws on 3rd and very long to pick up the necessary yards

Gotta say I was sceptical but am enjoying the change in this team

Coaching makes a difference.

I like what I'm seeing in Jason Garrett, but regardless what happens hereon out, it's pretty clear that this team had given up on Wade Phillips.

Too bad Jerry Jones didn't recognize this like after Week 1, which is when I offered my signature statement. (See below)

I have to agree with you man. The whole team looks to have a different feel. Is it because they have nothing to lose? Maybe, they couldn't have gotten any worse. I wasnt sold on the red headed genius, but I gotta say Garrett has made a difference (for the better).

Did I want Garrett as head coach next year, NO! Do I now? YES, Im feeling him...

I hate it when people reckon we need some big name superbowl winning coach to win.im loving watching garrett shove that down their throats.take that cowher and gruden!

I see DB's going for ball.

Specifically, although they got the TD on the turnover when TNew went for the ball -I LIKE THE AGGRESSION.

*****

QB running when need be. It messed with the defense and we started pounding them. Before that he was a sitting duck.

*****

When something bad happens, I, AGAIN am expecting this team to respond in a good way. Not the Mr Softee way.

I think it was an excellent coaching move. The last thing you need is a kicker with no confidence. It shows that Garrett is still behind him.

The three biggest improvements have been eliminating penalties, special teams and the OL (still not great but better).

Agreed. special teams has been markedly better, particularly coverage. I don't think Beuhler has had to tackle anyone at all the last two weeks.

i think the next 3 games will tell us how far we have improved.even 3 loses wont matter if they play upto their capacity.

I see a huge change in attitude; guys playing with fire and spirit. I am not sure why they quit on Wade but so far Garrett is doing a fine job. I'm impressed.

I was wrong about Jason. He's doing a great job getting the team ready to play. Perhaps we do have a good head coach. I NEVER thought I'd say that about JG!

This could work for the Cowboys if Jason Garrett is given authority to hire an OC....someone who he knows that can really take advatage of the talent (?) we have at RB. Also, if the staff the front office (new gm) takes a LONG look at Pasqualoni and determines he can work with the talent on D. We cannot afford to start over....Hopefully Jerry realizes this.

And thats the bottom line.

Less penalties. We had 5? penalties today. Huge changing from 12 a game earlier in the season.

Energy and Intensity, didn't have it under Wade and Garrett brings it and the players are buying into it.

and werent at least 2 or 3 on Columbo?

not seeing the dumb penalties, the lack of focus penalties, you know, the kind the Lions made today

The penalty downturn begin after Wade brought refs into practices. Can't really attribute that to Garrett.

That said, they're buying into whatever's Garrett's selling and it's showing on the field.

The impact has been very obviously positive.

He's doing everything he can do to make this an easy decision for Jerry.

With Garrett in charge, I feel like if something goes wrong, then that's only temporary and the team will fight back.

With Wade, I felt like when something went wrong, everything went wrong and we were already thinking of the draft. As though, this team thought that once one bad play happened, their entire season was shot.

It's a different attitude. Garrett is positive, take charge in nature, and Wade seemed defeatist. With Garrett, the team fights back when punched. With Wade, we pulled a Haynesworth and laid on the ground until the fighting stopped.
