What happend to waiting until the playoffs are over?

In years past, teams waited to interview assistants until said assistants team was out of the playoffs. Why has that changed and why has the league allowed it? I think it stinks.

The rule has always allowed for teams to inteview coaches whose teams are in the playoffs but are having the bye week. This is nothing new. Only thing new is the fact it has been many years since Dallas was in this position
