Serious question. I agree with you in your statement, but how do we pay for an elite safety? We aren't getting one in the draft as we will be picking high. We need to pay a few people and extend our QB... I don't see our roster getting better than it is now.

Hooker is about as good as it gets over the top, and he's already paid. He's really the least of the problems. Kearse is gone next year and he's an active liability.

The bigger problem is that DQ doesn't scheme anything, and no team can have defensive talent to win 1-1 battles across the board every week. Doesn't matter what you spend on defense.

Eagles look bad. We might still make the NFCCG. I just don't see how we stand any chance against SF or whoever comes out of the AFC. Nobody in the NFC looks good right now outside of SF. I don't trust Detroit and Philly. The AFC has some teams playing at a high level. I think SF is gonna beat up on whoever wins the AFC.

Agreed. SF is an absolute monster. The only thing I would say that could change that for them is injury.

They lost every game they played when Trent Williams went down. They have had a relatively healthy year, not “wishing” any injury on anyone— just stating that when key pieces go out of the lineup— the gap between teams narrows.

What I’ve seen over the last 3 seasons from “ big Mike” is a helluva a lot better from what I’ve seen for the prior 20 seasons. There’s no other coach out there that’s an obvious upgrade to me. They are a top team in the NFC. The NFCCG is still with in grasp this season. Frankly last years draft was horrible and to me that falls under Will McClay. Must be someone in that building that went to Michigan.

Bar was so low with Campo, Wade and Garrett. McCarthy is average at best but knowing Jerry, probably the best we will get.
Maybe we can win a couple more wildcard games. But basically we are the Schottenheimer Browns/Chargers or a slightly more polished version of of the Marvin Lewis Bengals.

Everyone was bowing up and stating this far back as two (2) years ago....even Booger was demanding we go further in the playoffs. So now everyone is proclaiming that MM isn't going anywhere no matter how this season plays out....huh...why not? Just what in the hell has this conman done to deserve more time? Is he being rewarded for racking up a bunch of regular season wins and a home winning streak against this (see below) predominantly sorry list of teams??? Just look at the list....look at the last seven (7) teams, and you will clearly see why we are currently racking up points at home...these defenses are all jokes. We go on the road and struggle against average teams, and get bloodied by the better ones. So go ahead and praise "Big Mike" as you like to lovingly call him...but this guy has ZERO motivational skills or ability to get this team ready for the biggest of stages. You have a few days left before Christmas to order your NFC East Runner Up swag, so I suggest you get on line and do it this morning. Enjoy the rest of the season and the Wild Card beat down....but never fear, because "Big Mike" will be back next year to take "your boys" to the Super Bowl.

Giants twice, Washington twice is never not fun. And next year we all play the NFC South. Dallas will get Minnesota, and probably Seattle/LAR, and probably Indianapolis. Gonna be some more bloated NFCE records with us playing to the end of the season For the NFCE title again. Maybe they’ll actually give us week 18 this time

Jerry gets his tv money regardless no matter how we watch the games. that is all based on neilsen rating which are all estimated from about 100,000
households neilsen physically monitors. If 10% of that group watches cowboys game, they estimate 10% of all american house holds watch that game,
and have a formula to turn that into a #of people watched this game.

Truth is they dont really know it is just a guess based on their formula, but everyone buys it, so the nfl gets great ratings, and it is bullet proof.
If everyone in texas stopped watching the nfl EXCEPT the few monitored by nielsen the ratings would still be the same.
