Has anyone heard anything on Gregory? Seems like he's lost for the year, its a shame they are probably gonna change rule next year. I really fely like we were gonna get him back at least by mid season.

Seriously, he's not about this Life.
Definitely not happening this season anyway.

I blow a kiss to his brief memory.

His name was brought up and the response was "that ship has sailed".

I am glad you asked this. Clearly this defense could use him. Maybe he could push Mr Hotboyz for playing time. At this point it’s hard to see him ever playing again. What a waste.

I'm glad he's not coming back midseason. I don't want to lose an accrued season for him to spend this year getting into shape and up to speed.

Let him come back when we get a full offseason, then a full season.

Does McClay get any blame for this pick?

Just my opinion, but I'd break down the blame for Gregory like this:
  1. Jerry Jones - he was the guy behind rolling the dice in the draft's 2nd round 98% on him
  2. Will McClay - he allowed his boss to make that call
  3. Jason Garrett - he gets credit for being against the move

Appreciate the reply.
I think the 98% is exaggerated, but if it's not...
Damn.

I'm of the firm belief that for a few years, this team considered the 2nd round to be 'Dad's plaything', where the old wildcatter could indulge himself and wheel and deal and take risks. Gregory was one of them. A talented player with well documented issues that no one else would touch. Because real GM's would get fired by their bosses for taking such risks.

Ah, yes -- Randy What'shisface! May his memory live in our hearts forever! May he finally manage to rid himself of the ravages of the evil weed! If he can't, may he somehow manage to live a long and fruitful life outside of football. Roger Goodell seems to be done with him, even if Jerry isn't.

Sigh...
Ce la vie.
