What happened to the buzz about Deion?

I don't think it was a smokescreen. Jerry wanted Deion, still does. But as we all kinda already knew, the son runs things. Shotty is Stephen's guy and is the driving force behind the potential hire.

Stephen is convincing Daddy via these interviews of shotty, that this is the best course to take. If he can be sold, this will be the hire. If Jerrah isn't convinced, Deion might still be in play. Mike Fisher this morning said that he has sources that tell him Shotty is all Stephen Jones' idea. This is starting to really make sense now. I expect there is an internal struggle, a push back from Jerry. We shall see who wins the tug of war.

Also, prime would make the Jones` mad by taking away mic and camera time.

Did you see what he did after arriving at Colorado....basically cut the whole team or told them to find a different team....NO WAY Booger would have let him selectively weed out the team on his own....which needs done BTW.

Just a way for Jerrah to get some attention. He loves the spotlight and will do anything to grab it. Winning is not what jerrah is interested in. What a demoralizing way to be a fan of this once proud team!

Yip I heard this too and it makes sense. Stephen was correct to think that back a year ago. Fast forward to now, I think Jerry is right to want to investigate the Deion idea. Facts are Stephen never wanted Prime in Dallas in 1995. So why would he want him now? So what's going on over at the star is a tug of war between ideals. Shotty is selling himself to Jerry . Not so sure he will agree. I think Jerry wants to look around at other candidates. He's not lazy. But Stephen is. Stephen is being lazy, he's cheap, and in all honesty, it's frightening. Once Jerry passes away that guy will be in full charge. What we been dealing with is a taste of what's to come. Only thing that might give us a chance is a stellar draft, a key free agent and the right coaching hires.

I think it began as a pr stunt to help both parties get what they needed. But now I feel it's real to Jerry. Stephen could give two ***** about this team and Deion. He's trying to keep status Quo and pinch pennies. If no announcement happens today, Katy bar the door. The Deion stuff will heat up.

Jerry got the Cowboys in the headlines briefly… Deion got to try to milk another million or 2 out of Colorado before he’s shown the exit door after next season! Win win for them. We got more nonsense!
