Sorry, but the Sporting News doesn't know jack when it comes to the draft.
Draft pundits will easily tell you that if you don't have a franchise QB on your team and the oppurtunity arises to draft one, you have to take it.
So let's review...
1. Oakland Raiders - Presently have Andrew Walters who has looked like a career backup.
2. Detroit Lions - When you're drafting second and your starter is 35 years old, it's time to look forward.
3. Cleveland Browns - Charlie Frye is competent as a backup and nothing more.
4....
You get the idea. There's a reason these teams are drafting high.
The ideal teams in this draft are in the #5 - #7 range in my opinion as someone's gotta slip between Johnson, Thomas, Peterson, etc. Quinn will still be #1 IMO as Russell is nowhere near as polished and Davis will have an actual moment of clarity come draft time.
