I think the Cowboys re-sign him with an incentive laden deal. They're hope (at least from what I've read online) is to keep McClain at "mike" and move Sean Lee to the weakside. That leaves Anthony Hitchens and probably Justin Durant (who should be affordable to keep) to battle it out at "sam" linebacker.

The only things that gives me pause about paying McClain too much is his past off-field woes and his injuries last year; but I believe the latter were a result from being away from the game.

I think depends on what he will be asking. I hope we do get him signed however he has made comment about going to the highest bidder so I think it depends on what the asking price is

He probably wants a big contract. The Cowboys are probably worried about his concussions and other assorted nicks last year. If he's reasonable I suspect he's here, if he's wanting a 5 year deal with decent money then I suspect he's gone.

I don't see any team offering him a big contract. IMO, he needs a solid year in 2015 and then he can get paid.

I don't see him being signed until the last possible minute, which could lead him to sign elsewhere, but it is what it is. We cannot pay him on ability. He's a middle linebacker who suffered head injuries last season. That must give us pause.
