Same agent as Parsons, is he as good as gone? Does the Parsons negotiation even play a part in this one or is it water under the bridge? Is this going to turn into a massive waste of assets for one season on a rebuilding team? Not that they had a chance with Parsons in the lineup either, but playoffs seemed much closer than they do now.

I could see the front office be more willing since he plays offense

Or Jerry at 83 may be worse than Al Davis

How about we see Pickens play some games first.

Look man you're getting way too ahead of yourself But they don't parallel except they have the same agent But remember it was going to be tough to keep him anyway if he believes he's a number one and has a great season how do you keep a guy you can't pay a guy who's going to be demanding 40-45 million a year next to lamb..

You learn anything from this What this agent demanded from the Cowboys was most likely four years 200 million it was in the 50 million range I didn't believe that when I saw a few days ago because I didn't also believe the Green Bay trade was gonna happen but it turns out a lot of this information seemed like rumor and it wasn't and getting 47 million says it was true..

This agent plays hardball like this then most likely yeah Pickens is only going to be gone because if he thinks he's a number one he's going to be seeking out number one money and we were never going to be able to keep him anyway..

Can't have two number ones making two number one monies especially not two alphas He's not better than Lamb at least not in Cowboys eyes lame is a homegrown cowboy we're keeping him I would like to keep Pickens but again you're way ahead let's let's see how he plays let's see what he contributes to the team..

I'm gonna say it one last time when this trade happened everybody thought if Pickens has a great year we're not gonna be able to afford him saying the Cowboys should it's futile it's wrong you can't have two guys making that kind of money no other team does...

I know Chase makes what $40 million and T higgins makes like 28-30....

So yeah if Lamb is making 39.5 then if Pickens wants to stay here he could take 30.. Because he will always be the number two here just why we got rid of Amari Cooper Lamb became the new number one and 22 million was too much at the time for Amari Cooper being the number two..

No he won't do it not if he's demanding number one money it's not happening.... Or should it it depends on how good a year Pickens has All the other teams have a guy making 35 to 40 million as the starter money and if they have a second guy they're making 25 to 29 million as the backup like Chase and T Higgins like AJ Brown and Smith..

You're saying Pickens would take 30 million then maybe yeah possibly but if he's asking for starter money around 40 heck no double heck no This is why we're turning the bottom of the wide receiver room We have guys that can end up at least being a number two soon so you don't have to overpay for your number two.
I'm not against keeping the guy but what is gonna be his demands we don't know that this agent he just did with Parsons makes me think he's gonna do that with Pickens and not because he's a cowboy because this is what he does He tries to get overcompensation for his players and Parsons is not worth forty seven million and neither Will Pickens be if he's asking for 35-40

Again can we see the guy play 17 games here stay healthy put up really good numbers and then we can find out where he lands in a possible contract...

Good question. I don't know the answer. But, there is no guarantee the team will be willing to fork over a 2nd big contract to that position.

See Micah Parsons.
Jerry needs headlines and drama he'll drag that negotiation out.

Part of me feels like they didn’t pay Micah so they could pay Bland and Pickens…..

Pickens needs to rebuild his image and and his stats to draw attention from other teams. Then try to get out as quick as he can to a team that truly wants to contend.
