The last 2 games our Playmakers are doing what this team needs, generating turnovers.

Ware - INT, 2 Forced Fumbles

Newman - INT

Burnett - Forced Fumble

ROY - Busts the reciever and DAT gets the INT

It is not just that we are getting some turnovers, but who is generating them.

I really am excited about this, and if they keep it up this team will win games.

On a side note Newman would probably had another one if Fitzgerald would not have had the offensive PI.

And Henry had one right in his mits. Guys are getting in position.

Also something tells me before long Keith Davis is going to get in this mix as well. He definetly brings the lumber, and I think he can be a great blitzer, as well as he has that nose for the ball.

No kidding.

3 turnovers and 3 sacks this week.

Forget how many last week.

But it has been much better.

That Zimmer is really doing a great job isn't he?

Oops I mean.........

Now this thread deserves some attention over the crap that is being spewed all over the place concerning our backup QB situation.

Newman was AWESOME tonight and had a great training camp as well. He will be more than fine. Think Pro Bowl when you think of Terence "Newspaper" Newman. Roy was outstanding and hostile as usual. Dat looked good. Burnett looked good. Ware looked good again. Glover looked sound as usual. Keith Davis played very well. All signs point to the Cowboys having a stingy and fiesty defense this year.

Pressure and Turnovers ..se we have the rush AND the corners now..makes a BIG DIFFERENCE :)

about Keith Davis, I been telling fellow Cowboy fans on another forum, for the LONGEST time, that Killer Keith is going to do some good things for us, he is fast, the ball comes to him, and in TC his rookie year, Darren WOodson said he was the fastest he's seen anybody pick up the Dallas defensive playbook, he's going to be a player, not All-Pro by any means, but very solid...

Also only three Cowboys turnovers, two by players who probably won't see too much playing time in the regular season (Henson, Barber).

Frankly, I'm surprised that Bledsoe hasn't lost a fumble or thrown a pick as bad as the OL has played.

I missed the game, can anyone elaborate on the Burnett forced fumble. Did we recover it?

Texans tried a play action rollout but Burnett was in Blake's face. He cocked his arm back getting ready to throw it (while Burnett had him wrapped up) and Burnett hit his arm and the ball flew backwards. REcovered by Ratliff.

Anytime. It was a nice play by Burnett. He had got suckered on the play (play action bootleg) earlier, but this time he was ready for it and made the play.

2 turnovers, 4 sacks in week 2...

For the last 2 games, the tally is 7 sacks, 3 interceptions, 2 fumble recoveries...

Not too shabby... particularly not when you consider that we've been missing Spears and Ferguson for those 2 games...
