What I am hoping for with Romo

First, I would like to give thanks to Drew Bledsoe for his time and efforts he gave to this team. I think many will agree that Bledsoe was Dallas' best QB since Aikman (which isn't saying it much). Unfortunately, he made his bed and now he has to sleep in it.

Romo has to keep the ship stable. That is a tall order for a young man making his first start. He is going to be in a whole new world now - with three years under his belt, carrying a clipboard, the culture shock should be a little less.

What I am hoping for is that he is concentrating on making less mistakes. Last Monday night didn't help matters any, especially with his last two picks.

The main focal point in the offseason should be finding another quarterback to replace Bledsoe. Now, whether this should be a top-flight QB, or just a back-up, will be determined by the play of Romo.

Another focal point in the offseason MUST be directed at revamping that offensive line. I don't think Flozell, after his devestating knee injury, will ever be totally back again. If his play doesn't improve, then let's see what McQuisitan can do. The same goes for Rivera - being replaced by Proctor. We need to see what these young guys can do.

If Dallas can find anyone else - wonderful.

The only offensive line position I would not touch right now would be center. I think Dallas has something in Gurode.

I agree, as you watch the replays Gurode is the only lineman consistantly doing his job .....

I am so glad Dallas did not give up on Gurode. He is coming around and will pay big dividend now and down the road.
