Seriously, Tom Landry is considered a dynamic innovative Head Coach today but his team didn't think much of him in the early to mid 60's. They had names for him like "Coach Sliderule".

All the accolades given to people, teams, coaches, etc, happen after the fact.

History will call this team "great", the players "great", the coaches "great" if they win the Super Bowl.

I believe that a team can have a good year where things go right and it propels them to the Super Bowl because winning is as much a state of mind as it is physical ability. I also believe the healthiest teams win in the end and rarely do banged up teams make it to the Super Bowl.

Right now, the 49ers and Cowboys are banged up more than the Eagles. If the Eagles luck with injuries continues, I think they will get to the Super Bowl and beat whoever the AFC champion is.

On the other hand, I alos think the Eagles cannot beat the Cowboys 3 times in one season.

The reason we still watch and cheer is of the word “can”…..it’s not probable but definitely possible to reach the promised land if certain scenarios take place

the eagles knocking of the Niners in the playoffs would be one of the events needed for our destiny to spring forth.
