With Roy Williams (WR), Ellis, TO, Carpenter, etc., etc., etc. all discussing team business, playing time, and the rest of internal stuff with the press ....

Why doesn't Wade (or JJ) call these players individually, and the REST of the team, and make it clear that ANY discussion of the locker room business with the media is at their own risk?

In other words, lay down the law immediately.

Clearly, the coaching staff has been told to shut up. They definitely weren't talking during the Senior Bowl.

Why not strongly suggest to the players that if they continue to go on air and discuss team matters, they risk getting cut or benched or fined (if possible)?

For guys with big salary cap hits, they probably aren't going to get cut, but Wade could definitely bench them for some time (or implement some sort of disciplinary policy).

Any other team and it would happen. But since its the Cowboys, you can forget about it. In a locker room full of idiots(minus a few) we have a coaching staff and an owner who cant or wont lay down the law.

Couldn't agree more but unfortunately all we are missing is the Benny Hill theme song to complete the picture of our current Dallas Cowboys team and management.

Who's to say that they haven't tried already?

Perhaps it has already been tried. Most may have abided by the request while others haven't yet.

What I am most interested in seeing is who will continue to talk unnecessarily when others will have decided to finally become silent.

yes, it lays at jerry jones door now, as well as the players, the key is the players

lets look at it this way, when jerry jones hired jimmy johnson, discipline was instilled, hard work, atitude to win and character to a point

then jerry jones fired jimmy johnson as we all know

then discipline went out the door, and jerry jones won in 95 due to leadership on the team with the players , but jerry jones he thought he could do it his way

a quote i remember from jerry jones after 95 when jerry jones was basically doing the drafting, troy aikman basically said, who is he kidding these guys he drafted and is pumping them up for honors, cant play, something alone those lines

so jerry jones tried to do it his way till 2003, then he hired the most discipline coach in the league,

then the players started griping, moaning and complaning to jerry jones

adn now this mess

the problem is all of the above, the owner, the coaches especially with coach cupcake and the players

the players have to fear and respect their head coach,and know that he can cut them or trade them or release them at any time;

when the players know that they can go to the owner and gripe and complain, then that head coach can do nothing,

till that is understood, this team will go no where,

If you can fine a player $22,000 for "embarrassing the teams image" in a rap, why can't you fine a player who embarrasses the team in an interview?

:bang2:

I'm not even going to reply. Some people don't "get it".
