What I Love Most About Our Defense . . .

Does anyone else get a kick out of seeing 2 or three guys show blitz . . .

Then when the ball is snapped . . . they run into the offensive line and fall down.

I mean . . . we got 4 Dlineman and 2 or 3 blitzers.

You'd think that 5 guys couldn't block that many.

But we never get through.

Its pathetic.

I love how we show we are blitzing as soon as the offense gets the line......it's called intimadation.......we are coming deal with it

The covers and safeties always get beat on the deep ball, always!

I swear there are plays he charges in and comes flying backwards like Roy hit him.

I watch a lot of football . . . College and NFL.

Heck . . . I even catch a few local high school football games a year.

And things like sacks and interceptions and fumbles are just part of the game.

Even really bad defenses get them once in a while.

But we never do.

We absolutely never do.

Its mind boggling.

Absolutely mind boggling.

It's called being reactive rather than proactive. The good defenses blitz and force you to make plays. If you do, lucky you...if you don't, something bad's gonna happen, but since the good ol' Cowboys are a read and react defense, the opposing offenses can run the play the want and execute it to perfection.

You remember how you drew up plays on the back of your history book in high school, don't ya? You draw them up and anticipate what the defenders will do...well, the Cowboys are the defenders and your offense is working just the way you drew it up.
