Trysten Hill actually got into the backfield a couple times and disrupted things. Good to get that on film if the Cowboys are looking to trade him.

Also thought Tarel Basham made himself harder to cut and he could make the team over Dante Fowler based off this one preseason game.

There is no world Golston is a better DT than Hill.

1. The penalties are bad and they need to get that under control.

2. They need to acquire a veteran swing tackle that can be a decent backup.

3. Tyler Smith is going to be very good.

4. Daron Bland is a player. He is moving ahead of Wright and Joseph. I think that Bland and Bell have a chance at being good players.

5. I think that Grier will end up being the backup qb.

6. The rookie running back from Florida has a shot at making the team as the 3rd back.

7. Ferguson looks good as the 2nd tight end.

8. The defense will be very good.

9. They will have to cut or trade 1 good defensive player.

10. Turpin will be a good return man.

11. Gallup looks like he isn't going to miss a lot of time.

- I could blame it (our penalties) on rookies and guys that won’t be on the 53 roster, but other NFL teams also have rookies and roster cut guys too. ..and yet we were week #1 most penalized NFL team.
That’s coaching and not having disciplined players. It’s gonna translate into the reg season, imo.
They are not believing in McCarthy,… they are not buying into him, ..his speeches, ..his rants, .. his assistant’s rants,.. he won’t be able to reach them here unlike in GB where his
Packers were among the least penalized NFL team. - and I don’t believe you can fine and over-practice players per NFLPA, CBA…

- Vet backup swing tackle ?
1) there will a bidding war among NFL teams for the better available OTs- even backups
2) Cowboys will get the least remaining crumbs if they prefer to wait it out until after 1st game or so to avoid roster$$ guarantee
3) Cowboys will have to put up some appealing cash to acquire backup services

- Optimistically I’d like to think Tyler will be a good player, he has such great power, while Conner Williams had great athleticism, but time will tell if he remains an OG, or will eventually be a natural LT.

- Is Grier gonna be anointed the backup role by default, ? .. or will he be in a position to earn that role, not just be given it.
We did that with Garrett Gilbert, we did it with Rush, will we be doing same with Grier ?

Bland is well... not bland. I like what he brings, but again this is only the preseason. If I have 5 CB's on the final 53 then he makes it a the final spot.

I think the big decision; is keeping 4 RB's or 6 DB's or a extra D-lineman
