Kudos to JG for maintaining composure during the 4th quarter defensive collapse. If anything, he does look like a football coach on the sidelines. You have to feel that the even keel vibes is picked up by the players. There was none of the finger pointing among db s we have witnessed in the past. The offense did what was necessary to win the game giving Kitna adequate protection to do what he had to do.
The officiating was less than stellar and that went both ways. Wow. ticky tack roughing calls, missed holding calls, missed tripping calls....the list goes on
Way to go McCann. The youngster is electric and was inches away from busting two or three today. A large reason why we started in Commander territory seemingly all day.
For those clamoring for the young guys, you may get your wish due to injury concerns. Williams, Butler made some plays. Church seems to be just a step slow reacting. Whether that is physical or mental remains to be seen with more reps, but Wes Bunting seems to think he is too leggy and that could be why he was a bit slow breaking on the ball
The offensive line woes have been beaten to death. i cant help but feel we are seeing the end of careers of Davis and Columbo.
Is it only me or does Felix always to be getting dinged up every second play?
Then I watch Mendenhall and wonder what could have been
Love Sean Lee but man this draft class is struggling with injuries
Bradie and Brooking really looked banged up and aged
Other than D Ware... we got nothing as a pass rush. Spencer dropped more than he rushed it seemed. Hatcher, Igor Bowen are JAGS
The difference between our OLB s and the Steeler OLBs is the absolute relentlessness that the Steelers play defense with. I dont see that in Spencer. Not sure about Butler or Williams as their body of work is too small
Well next week we have another opportunity to make a no name QB look like a world beater.
Look on the bright side. We have seen Grossman before and maybe by making him look so good the Commanders will decide to go into next year with him as their guy!
