which Hamlin will show up? the one from 05 or the one from 06? if the one from 06 shows up he isnt going to help us alot in pass coverage...

IF THE one from 05 shows up it's going to be a good year for him...i guess we arent spending much and still have watkins, hopefully this will motivate him

the one from 06 was better than both our FS last year.
I am not sure where all this hamlin sucks in coverage came from
he was asked to do too many things last season and still managed to be pretty darn good.
this certainly warranted a new thread rather than a bump of one of the milluon other hamlin threads.

unless someone hits him in the head i'm not to concerned. he has been pretty solid thru out his career except when injured

I hope the best Hamlin shows up.

However, even the Hamlin was wasn't as good, according to reports, was still miles better than any FS here in the last couple of years.

I'm less concerned about Hamlin's performance at FS when someone (maybe on DCFanatic) mentioned that Keith Davis was ranked #102 was worst FS & at #101 was Pat Watkins. Understand Hamlin's was ranked somewhere in the 60s in 07 which means he head and shoulders above anybody we got. If we can turn in the 05 performance, you better believe Jerry will keep him around the rest of his career. I'm a Watkins fan but I'm glad for this signing cause it will give Watkins time to be groomed for the position rather then being thrown in--his confidence took a hit last year although he played better in last few games.
