At 1-4 the odds are long. But I wouldn't dump the coaches because it is pointless with a potential lockout.

What I would do is position myself for the best salary cap status I could get.

We have 3 pretty bad contracts: Williams, Barber and Davis.

I'd cut Bigg.

I'd trade Barber to GB.

And as funny as it seems with the season he is having, I'd trade Williams. We will never get more value for him.

And then I'd start Holland instead of Bigg at RG.

Sam Young as opposed to Colombo at RT.

Cut Alan Ball. Who screwed up big time again on special teams, not to mention him continuing to do nothing at safety.

Seems like a good plan. But don't expect that happen for a while though and probably too late for that happen. You cannot throw in the towel, if not team will even stop trying to be stupid :laugh2:

You have to do something. Most GM's would consider firing the Head Coach to save the season, even though it is over. There is a coach who is waiting on the staff even on an interim basis to do things differently.

Let go of Wade, promote Camillis as the head coach, let go of Garret, turn to offense over to Sherman.

Why would Green Bay want Barber? The entire O-Line is horrible, what does cutting Bigg do? Holland is going to have to play if Kosier is out, so who will start for Bigg if you cut him? This season is over, we lose next week, guys will start packing it in. This team doesn't have the guts to circle the wagons and make a run....

who is going to give you something for Williams, and why get rid of our most consistent WR?

I agree on Big and Barber

Reminds me of the lost year under Parcells, where he insisted on Vinny starting, even though the team had no chance of getting in the playoffs.

Because he makes 8 million a season. I have defended him as much as anyone but we will need to really overhaul the OL and to do that we will need cash. With Miles and Dez we will be fine at WR going forward, can't say the same about the OL.

what was the alternative to vinny? Romo was nowhere near ready by his own admission.

We do not need to worry about cash; the way Stephen has worked things even if the Cap comes back at where it was before the contract expired we would be OK.

It's too bad the trade deadline isn't like baseball's, where playoff teams go looking for players to trade for off bad teams with no shot.

Because if the NFL used it, I would definitely trade Roy if we have no shot then. But even if I'm willing to, you know Jerry is going to hang onto him like grim death now. No mention of the fact that he has no foresight whatsoever.

The lockout is next season these guys can come back but the team needs to be shaken up, a losing record isn't going to do it. I think when guys start losing their jobs and positions, things will change. And it might not but at this point, I would risk it.

Drew Henson who was off the roster and out of the league soon after. Yet, that didn't stop fans from calling for Parcells head.

I have no problems with any of this.
