What I'd like to see vs. Denver next game

1. Significant improvement in covering punts and kickoffs. O.K., we are mixing and matching players, but we need to know during the regular season if are going to have to play some starters on STs. These subs and bubble guys better start covering asap.

2. Adam Jones returning at least several punts. He was pretty rusty vs. the Chargers in his overall game, and he needs more reps, IMO, in live games - including punt returns.

3. I want to see Austin replicate his performance vs. Broncos. One of the knocks on Austin is his inconsistency. Let's see if he can follow up with a strong performance and have two consecutive good games.

4. We need to see more from the 2nd tier OL. Martin and McQ, especially.

5. Better blocking from TEs not named Witten. I expect Bennett to make progress vs. Denver.

6. A better DISCIPLINED team. We have to cut down on penalties and turnovers.

Also, I hope we trade/acquire of waivers another veteran QB to challenge Bartel - at the minimum. I think a few guys could get cut off other teams, but I think we have to seriously consider bringing in another vet QB.

I expect this denver game to be sloppy. After practicing for a couple days with each other, these teams will really know what is going on across the line of scrimmage.

this will probably be another sloppy game.

one thing that does concern me is denver and houstons offensive lines are cut blockers. they block low, that is their scheme. The next two games I will be holding my breath on every defensive snap of the game.

I kind of hate that we are practicing with them, i fear the cut blocker.

i would like to see Stanback involved more on the offense, and by that i mean in there with a QB that can get the ball to him.

wouldn't mind seeing some passes to the other young receivers also....Amendola got one throw at his feet, and Jefferson, Bradford, etc had no passes to them.

also would like to see some game action for Lattimore, see what he can do in live action, and i felt bad for him after HBO made him look like a ball of crap on Hard Knocks.

I expect Dallas to work vigorously on special teams because that's by far the weakest link on this team. Nick Folk has to do a better job of kicking the ball deeper and McBriar needs to get more hang time on his punts.

Would like to see some of the young receivers like Stanback, Hurd or even Amendola catch passes from Romo, but don't think it's gonna happen since they would almost have to start.

Unfortunately, they're trying to catch medicine balls from BJ and I'll bet they're thinking "Life ain't fair".

I also want to see Courtney Brown have a decent game and Pat Watkins to have a decent.
