What if both Easley and Jernigan are there at 47?

Easley for me. The injuries really worry me but the talent is undeniable. Top 10 talent at 47, yeah i'll bite.

Depends on who we get in Round 1. If we get Donald in Round 1, then we take Jernigan to team with him to be our 1-tech. If we don't take Donald in Round 1, then we most definitiely take Easley because he's the next best 3-tech in the draft.

If we get Donald in Round 1, then we would be insane to go DT in the 2nd, especially after having signed Melton. We had better be looking at DE or WR or OL or LB IMO.

so you know its weed? Sure. And what about being DUMB enough to keep doing it while you KNOW a test is coming? No discipline or self control. Yeah a great way to WASTE a first round pick.

The if right at the beginning part of the sentence implies a possibility. Sometimes young people, and people in general, make questionable choices.
That doesn't make them bad football players. See Sapp, Moss, The Playmaker, etc
I want a good football team. Good players help.

Assuming we go DE, OT, LB or WR in the 1st.....Jerrigan AND Easley somehow both available for us in the 2nd......which would you rather have and why??

I don't understand the fascination with Easley. Have we not learned our lesson about drafting players with an injury history in college. Those players can have all of the talent in the world but it does us no good when they are on the training table and not on the field. We don't have the depth on our roster to start taking on players with injury concerns. We need people that can show up on Sunday and play. Also, how long of a career do we expect to get out of someone who has already had ACL surgeries on both knees.

As far as Jernigan goes, if we can get him at 47 then that represents great value. I would take him if the failed drug test was for marijuana and that was his only red flag. Personally. I don't think the NFL is really going after players smoking marijauna at this time. I'm sure there are tons that smoke marijuana in the NFL but I can't recall the last time a player was suspended for testing positive to marijuana. All the recent suspensions I can recall were due to performance enhancing drugs.

An elite talent at a position of need for us. Its a gamble but the payout could be huge. I'd roll the dice but that's just me.

Take Donald then Easley. According to Sun Tzu, every quarterback is sacked before the game is played

Assuming we haven't taken a DT in the first round then I would go with Jernigan. I don't see him dropping that far though.

Easley, Jernigan is on the Mara HOOCHIE!

How about Jimmie Ward over both DTs @ #47 after selecting Barr, Donald or ..wait for it ...Manziel, in the 1st.

I think the stir was because he called him an addict, assuming it was MJ, which isn't even addictive. Questionable choice? Definately. It's the only reason he could even be at play at 47 but even then not likely. Does anybody think that Marion Barber or Keith Davis ever smoked pot? Players can take painkillers and alcohol, which I doubt are even tested for, and are far more addictive. I only hope we have the choice to take both at 47 because I think the value is there with either.

Can't stand Jernigan, way too much talk about a lazy, undersized, druggy, no pass rush, no effort bum.......oh yeah, most likely he will be our first round pick now that I ripped him

Not in Marinelli's defense. Jernigan is a 1tech in this defense. Thats it

I think you're wrong. I think you and others have cast him into a mold. He doesn't have quite the quickness to play the WDE spot, but he has the skills to play every other position on the line. Maybe not at a all-pro level, but he could definitely do it.
