Obviously this line has been a train wreck, but let's suppose that Fred Beard has been getting close to normal and is cleared today for next week, and let's suppose he would be able to play at his pre illness level. (Yeah, I know that's a lot of assumptions, but roll with it).

What happens when he returns?

1 Fred returns and Looney goes back to being a backup?
2. Fred starts and Looney takes Williams place?
3. Fred Starts, Collins to Guard, Fleming or Williams to RT?

At what point do you kick Collins inside and give Fleming a chance to earn his salary at RT?

Is Tyron and La'el going to be better?

Looney isn't the problem.

Our offensive Tackles have been trash. Especially Tyron.

#1.

They want Williams to play. Take his growing pains.

Until Collins goes down with an injury is when you see Fleming at RT.

Can Frederick pass the ball. Kidding. I think you see improvement. I think he gives you a level of pre snap analysis that you don't get from Prescott or Looney.

That being said, I don't think we're all of a sudden putting up 250 yards in the air per game.

I am pretty sure they are keeping Collins at OT.

You might rotate Williams and Looney at OG but i don't see them moving Collins back to OG.

However I have been wrong before when it comes to what they do with L. Collins.

Dak has 2.99 seconds to throw, which is 3rd best in the league. Quit acting like the oline is a big problem

I'm just trying to figure out how "a train wreck" could have Zeke leading the NFL in rushing, and doing it with fewer carries than Gurley, Kareem Hunt, AP, and Jordan Howard?

You don't suppose some of the pass protection issues have anything to do with a QB who holds the ball too long?

He doesn't just hold on to the ball too long, he runs into the pass rush. He doesn't have a good feel for the game and certainly can't play from behind.

85.6 QB rating when trailing for his career. 79.2 this year.

when you have no idea what the issues surrounding this team are - you ask questions like this one

Well bringing back an All Pro player won't hurt is all I can say. But it's still the same lousy offense. And Tyron might be done folks.......

Someone cautioned regarding Tyron Smith in the offseason and was ripped for it...

Where Frederick should help is with some of the line calls and against blitzes. Looney has been fine otherwise.

Looney is not the issue. Its the crap scheme and the awful play at tackle. Collins and Smith have been the main issues on that OL. Beard coming back will be little help.
