As some teams are preparing their draft boards I'm getting bits and pieces and small pictures of how some prospects are being viewed and how those boards are being developed.

The most surprising part, it's by a majority I'm finding not only will it be possible but is being projected often that Dallas very well could be looking at the prospect of having Cordy Glenn sitting their in the 2nd.

The other one I keep seeing, how about Alfonzo Dennard in the 3rd?

Other names that keep showing up in the 2nd and 3rd round.

Devon Still in the 2nd
Ronnell Lewis in the 3rd
Whitney Marcelius in the 2nd
Jared Crick in the 3rd

Can you imagine:

Barron
Glenn
Dennard/Crick

In the first 3 rounds? Sign me up!

On the flip side

Chandler Jones
Andre Branch
Amini Silatolu
Jeff Allen

All names that continued to show up as 1st round picks.

yeah i recently saw a report saying that Cordy Glenn was likely overrated as a 1st round prospect and could drop to the 2nd

i agree that potential 3 round haul would be pretty good

If Glenn goes to us in the 2nd that would be the all time steal.

or it could be Winston Justice part two

That's some surprising stuff to "hear" ... well, read ... thinking Cordy Glenn could be available in the 2nd Round ... and Alfonzo Dennard in the 3rd? That blows my ever-loving, pre-Draft thinkin' mind. I also like seeing you report Whitney Mercilus may still be an option in the 2nd.

Waitin' another, what: 12 days, 23 hours, 45 minutes, X number of seconds ... at this exact moment in time ... is growing harder 'n' harder to bear. C'mon 2012 Draft, already. LOL!

I think the draft concensus is right - Silatolu and Zeitler will be better pros.

I am concerned about Glenn's lack of lateral agility and I wonder if he is going to become Leonard Davis II.

If we want to take a massive big man that can move I'd rather take Brandon Brooks who has the kind of agility I think you need to play the scheme that Garrett and Callahan want to play. Glenn strikes me as more of a dominant man blocker.

Based on what you're hearing I'd love to get Mercilus Whitney in the 2nd and Crick in the 3rd.

Agreed.

Also  @ the notion that you get a steal with Glenn if he slides to 45. He'll only slide that far as a result of consensus evaluation of his talent - that he is not worthy of a higher selection.

Besides, it's been said for a while that Dennard and Crick might drop to the third.

Better than Larry Allen in the 2nd?

Not sure he'll end up as a better value than Adams in the 2nd.

Are you hearing anything about Irvin moving up?

I feel like he may get into the first round or early 2nd

You can have Dennard. Didnt Mayock (not that he is alays right) recently pan Glenn?

If it is actually going that way, then the best move would be to trade down for an extra 2nd/3rd round pick. Gilmore, Glenn, Still, Lewis would be an incredible haul.

DeCastro in round one?
Mercilus in round two?
Dennard in round three?
Broyles in round four?

wow....I would like this.

Nothing about the draft surprises me anymore.

I remember the year that Patrick Watkins was drafted people couldn't believe he dropped to the fifth round. Then they couldn't believe Dallas was fortunate enough to get him in the fifth round. Then they couldn't believe how mediocre he was as a pro safety.

If Glenn falls, we might be lucky enough to get him or unlucky enough to get him, depending on how it turns out.

It would the first draft that I ever sat back and said "Wow, I can't believe we just pulled that off."
