Maybe. It all depends on who else is available and the trade offers.

They could release Carr after 2014 and use the money on the position that they didn't fill because they drafted a CB with this pick. Carr could be the full time FS in 2014.

Gilbert is a blue chip player. Its very hard to pass up blue chip players.

like any other outside of the box moves, if they have a plan, then I could get on board...if they were going to move one of the CB's around and trade them, etc., then this wouldn't be a bad move...I believe him to be the best CB in the draft
