What if Kyle Pitts falls to 10 Mock Draft

Outside the top 3, all those corners, including Joseph have an excellent chance to be there at 44. Don't forget about the smaller players that will have some of these players fall like Samuel, Molden and Robinson. The corner position could be rated totally different team to team, base on what type of player fits their scheme. Think Dane has 12 corners rated in the top 60. Can they all start, most can at least yr 1.
And outside of the top 3 they all have some work to do. I think Campbell has the traits and speed (not like stokes but about like Horn he was a HS sprint champion) to be a very good CB2 within two years. Outside of the five I listed the development curve is even higher.

Have you watched Joseph? He is very talented. Based on tape alone, many think he is a 1st rd player. He does give many Marcus Peters vibes on and off the field, but Peters has been a very good pro, although he wears out his welcome.
Ignoring his inexperience which is significant I think he has big bust potential based on maturity issues alone. He got suspended from LSU's bowl game and when he decided to opt out of Kentucky's final two games they didn't seem to mind at all.

Jerry will mumble through a "you are a Dallas Cowboy" phone call. Jerry jr will authorize overtime at the jersey factory.

It's highly unlikely but what if somehow Pitts fell to pick 10. Most agree that our defense is broke but by almost any rankings Pitts would be the BPA. Here is one possible draft in that scenario. I traded R6P8 and R3P35 with the Jets for R3P22 to take the safety Jevon Holland.

10:R1P10 TE Kyle Pitts Florida
44:R2P12 CB Tyson Campbell Georgia
75:R3P75 DL Milton Williams Louisiana Tech
86:R3P22 S Jevon Holland Oregon
115:R4P10 CB Benjamin St-Juste Minnesota
138:R4P33 OT Jaylon Moore Western Michigan
179:R5P35 LB Buddy Johnson Texas A&M
227:R6P43 LB Isaiah McDuffie Boston College
238:R7P10 DL Quinton Bohanna Kentucky
of course you take him. What i like is you double up in gaping holes as an insurance.

Thanks, I got to thinking about 3T and said the other day you could get one on day three. Bohanna could be a good two down and short yardage player and if not you're only out a seventh round pick. With how empty our LB room seems to be Johnson and McDuffie could both make the team and at least be good backups with the potential to become future starters.

Trade down!!!!

Isn’t it funny a lot of these dudes tape is from over a year ago? That’s scary

No doubt Jerry would. Its EXACTLY why our defense sucks and we havent won anything of in almost 30 years now.
That's partly why I tried this draft. Even staying at 10 and not trading up for him we're behind the eight ball defensively for the rest of the draft.

It's going to be a weird draft this year. I spent five dollars on the Star Magazine draft guide yesterday and it had a pretty good article on all reasons player evaluations are difficult this year.

Just think of the QB’s in years past that were considered studs to draft and they played another year and they had a bad year and it dropped them out. This is the opposite. We’re going on evaluations of Sophomore seasons etc from two years ago. That’s cray cray

He will not make it to 10 because if he gets past 5, Booger is likely to move up to get him.

Then no one will need to have the debate about whether he cares about winning a ring or not. That move would show he cares about the show and that is all he cares about.

Put Pitts in this offense and what do you have better than a top 3 WR corps? Is he going to add to the catches or replace them? Is the ball better in his hands of Cooper, Gallup or Lamb's? Lamb was known as a RAC guy a hell of a lot more than Pitts is and does anyone really think Pitts is going to school the NFL secondary's?

Gonzalez, Gates and Winslow, how many rings do they have between them? 3 of the greatest TE's to ever play the game but not on great teams.

Pitts doesn't fix anything on the Cowboys, he's another scoop of ice cream on a banana split missing the bananas. Hell, wasn't a scoop in the 1st round last draft enough? We need a banana split, not any given sundae.

The draft show said Joseph off field issues are the worst they have seen. You can’t trust him. Good player. I just won’t pick him in the top 50.

Thats where I kept finding myself. Trying to make up for it defensively the rest of the draft.

Maybe if it happens they just move some money around and sign a vet like Sherman to man the cornerback spot for a year or two until the next draft?

That’s kind of what I was thinking might would happen if Pitts actually does fall. Make a play for a vet, and then treat the rest of the draft like you went Surtain at 10.

Or something like that.

Sherman would be adequate for a year until they could draft a long term replacement. Of course they could go CB in the second and then whatever spot they don’t get to draft, then sign a vet for that position.

I guess what I’m saying is that it wouldn’t be a defensive apocalypse if they went offense at 10. Quinn by himself is going to help that defense a lot, I think.

My thoughts exactly.
