What if? LBs

What kind of impact will it have on the defense if these three things all happen?
1- Lee stays healthy
2- Jaylon is close to 100%
3- Vander Esch plays well at MLB

Also, do we play more 3 LB sets on third downs?

A healthy Lee and Notre Dame "Godbacker" level Jaylon would absolutely shred. This scheme is set up for LBs to make the plays, both against the run and in coverage, so Jaylon would join Lee in flying around and just tackling everything that moves. It could be Briggs-Urlacher or Willis-Bowman type of scary. Throw in Vander Esch and I think we'd have a top 10 defense easily.

But more than likely, I think Jaylon is less ready than people think (we'll see what his 100% looks like in preseason, but I don't think he'll be the Godbacker any more) and Vander Esch is more ready than people think. Our LBs won't be ultra-dominant, but if LVE plays well, we may not end up missing Hitchens that bad.

This sounds like what if:

1. I win the power ball and the mega million on a same week.
2. All the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders want to pay to have sex with me.
3. Jerry Jones decides to stop drinking for 1 hour.

It "could" all happen but unlikely.
