Zimmer would want no part of the players we have on defense. He’s already been fired once in Dallas as the DC. lol Changing coordinators never improves the defense. We need better players!

Matt Patricia did a fairly good job as DC in NE with very little talent. Not so good as a head coach in Detroit.

Zimmer coming back as DC under Mike is too hilarious to be real.

Fans would have no idea who to complain about. Zimmer for losing the game in the last 5 minutes because he played too soft? Moore for causing a sack in a crucial situation because he ran a reverse on the goal line? McCarthy for causing a turnover because he ran a fake punt double reverse throw on his own 30 yd line in a close game?!?!

The possibilities are endless with that kind of coaching staff.

Matt Patricia did a fairly good job as DC in NE with very little talent. Not so good as a head coach in Detroit.

The defensive talent he had in New England was never as bad as what we have. Plus in New England he had Brady and a lot of weapons on offense to overcome their defensive deficiencies. No DC is going to have success with the trash we have on defense. We need a complete overhaul on that side of the ball.

You may be right. For defense we need someone who knows how to coach average players and cause them to play above their pay grade. The days of having lots of highly rated great players on defense are hard to come by.

MM likes his guy. When Jerry let JG walk, he knew he would have to hand over more authority for a better coach. MM is a better coach and I highly doubt he doesn't have a lot of say in his staff. The defense sucked this year.....sure......but we also had bottom 5 DL and secondary units from day 1.

With the new staff trying to coach guys who were basically leftovers from the previous regime without much of an off season.......and all the injuries to the OL and Dak....... Jerry is just going to have suck it up and let MM and his staff have more time to build their own team.
