What if Norv becomes OC, and Jason becomes HC?

Qualifier: It's a boring Monday morning ... one that causes the mind to race after that third shot of caffeine.

Wouldn't it be more palatable for the fan base if Jason became the young, promising Head Coach of the Dallas Cowboys, and Norv was hired as the experienced OC?

I know that Norv's comments indicate that he really wants to be the Head Coach, but I am daydreaming of the risk factor for young Garrett being diminished by a proven-successful OC like Turner.

Is Turner under contract in SF? Can he make a lateral move?

Wouldn't you be OK with Garrett at the helm with Norv as the OC, and someone like Rivera or Ryan as a proven DC?

... back to the coffee!

Norv is already an OC, so he cannot make the lateral move.

I would be better with that scenerio, though I still don't think the problem is offense and Todd Bowles does not instill any confidence in this fan.

Of course that would be better.. better still if Wade was the DC too while you're at it.

Unfortunately those guys dont find themselves looking for work in that capacity this off-season.

Why do folks persist in the belief that coordinators will leave their present jobs to come here and coordinate?

He cannot make the lateral move only if he is under contract with his current team (SF).

I don't know whether that is the case or if he is in the process of re-negotiating.

The only blurb I saw in one of the articles is that SF was trying to pay him enough to prevent him from leaving (that could be leaving for a HC position, I do not know).

Not sure if his current contract with SF covers the 2007 season.

If they hire Turner as HC, that's exactly the reason why! Garrett and Turner are friends, so Garrett is willing to "learn" this year under Turner the "HC" so that they can get Turner in Dallas now. In 2008 you are going to see the old switcharoo!
