ok, we have discussed this alittle, but I am gearing up just in case, how to improve this defense, make it a feared defense. Say the panthers lose another game before trade deadline and they trade Peppers.

How high a draft pick do you think we should give up for him? Do you think he would be better at DE replacing Spears, or move Peppers to outside linebacker in the mode of greg ellis move that parcells made?

I heard that the papers where the panthers have their team, they are roasting peppers etc. What if peppers starts a rift and acting like charles haley did in san francisco which prompted a trade for haley. Would you?

I say a 2nd round pick and a conditional 4th rounder the next year.

Yeah, I know that the price salary of peppers is sky high, but you could restructure peppers contract kinda like the haynesworth contract was done, making the first 4 years of haynesworth deal affordable.

Peppers does look alittle heavy for outside linebacker, but would like to see what some of you think.

Remember trade deadline is oct 13th i think.

Joe, maybe you should think about just worry about these kind of hypotheticals until after the season.

Peppers is a great player although I like him at a lower weight than whatever he's at now. But stopping/avoiding him was a huge part of the game plan last night, and it worked out well. I think he's a much better player than Spears but he's also much older.

I would think about it. I'd discuss it. I'd look into it and if a good deal that was beneficial to both sides could be agreed upon I'd go out and do it.

I think your hope of a 2nd and a 4th are likely too low. I'd imagine it's going to take a deal with at least one #1 in the deal.

And what exactly did Peppers do last night? Nothing. No thanks. He ain't worth what the Panthers would want.

Now, if it were as easy as Carpenter for Peppers I would do it in a snap.:D

no just wait till next season he wants out of carolina and they cant afford to franchise him for another year.

and thats another thing... he was franchised this year and you know what a franchised player costs....

I wouldn't give anything more than a 2 for him at this point, and i'm kinda over us trading away draft picks anyway...I'm cool enough at what we got there for now...Now if it's a question of trading a #2 and a #4 for like a Kerry Rhodes or a Michael Griffin, I think I could live with that :D
