Remember all the threads how smart it was to resign them early for contracts that were considered deals at the time.
Remember all the threads on how stupid those contracts were within 2 seasons.
Dak, Lamb, Micah aren’t hiring Elmer Fudd as agents. They’re hiring the cream of the crop of agents whose sole job is to get those players the best contract possible. The agents have zero interest in letting the player sign a team friendly when there’s teams out there who would be more than willing to pay them not only the agents perceived market value but even more if need be.
And even if the delusion of a team friendly contract came to fruition the agent would have them holding out in 2 seasons to get market value.
And if you haven’t noticed all the 4yr contracts, agents aren’t just satisfied with getting the highest market value at the position anymore. They’re now taking a shot at getting a double dip at that highest market value!

I think it's been Dak's that has been the huge disaster. No trade/No tag/Top money coming off a very bad injury and on the downside of his career - just horrible
Lamb and Diggs - with the cap moving up each year pretty much fit into what they should be
Parsons will end up the same way

You bring up a great point, which is absolutely lost on most fans.
Sign the players earlier to an extension so it costs the organization less.
Great idea. We will pull one over on the agents. They'd never, ever think about holding out for more money......they'd immediately sign

Imagine an agent instructing his player to hold out for his market value....it would never happen.....
