What if we signed Dez back

We still have to eat the 8m cap hit from releasing him but I wouldn't be against it

Sounds crazy I know, and it is crazy but not impossible. It's been done before

They didn't even offer him a pay cut or contract restructure before giving him the boot. It would be insane to eat $8 million in dead money just to offer a reduced salary. If that was the goal, why not just go about it from the start? It would cost them more to go this route than to negotiate a pay cut via extension.

sure cut him and take a big cap hit. Sign him back for what, how much...pay him even more than before...why not redo the contract, but they didn't.
Only way this happens if he is still available in TC, and more so if we get injured players. Then his price goes up.

But to answer your question, yes, I would welcome him back. But if I was him, I would just laugh at the thought of it.

Sign him to a 3/21m deal ...........10m gtd and 6m signing bonus

Gives him a 3m cap hit added to the 8m Dead Money = 11m total
