Terrence Williams opts for a big payday and signs elsewhere
And Brice Butler leaves
And Dez continues to look slightly less than his former self
And when we go on the clock every WR is still available?
Do you take someone like Sutton, Williams, Kupp, or Schuster at the expense of a defensive starter?

WR could be just as high of a priority as any position on the defense, heading into the draft. With the way the defense is playing now, we could be in a spot to go purely BPA next year.

Corner, LB are probably guys you get in the middle rounds, but I'm tempted to pull the trigger on a top-tier WR if one is there.

No you take the player who will have the best NFL career rushing the passer.

Get your WR's later.

Sure, if it is by far the tp rated player on your board. Dont be shocked if it is a TE either because the 2017 draft class is loaded. Wiiten is nearing the end and Escobar is outta here.

I just can't do it...definitely not in the 1st or 2nd round. Dez is the guy, whether people like it or not. They gave him that contract and while he's not elite, he's still a Top-10 WR. You can't expect greatness at every position in the passing game, especially when you've already got a stud RB. Dez and the combination of Beasley/Witten are more weapons than what many teams have.

If we want to find Terrance William's replacement in the 3rd or 4th round then that's fine but I still think the premium picks need to go to the defense.

Whether Dez is top 10 or not is quite debatable at this point. Miles Austin had a few good years too and then tanked badly. Dez may fall into that category too. Time will tell.

If we're not drafting a potential number 1 wr there is no point in investing in a wr high. I'm not drafting a solid number 2 in round 1/2

TW is on pace for 48 catches and 710 yards. BB is on pace for 22c and 250y. Not difficult to replace. Might even already be on the team. Expect one of Andy Jones, Vince Mayle, or Chris Brown to fill a spot next year.

The only reason to spend a high pick on a WR is if you think he's a difference maker and a future replacement for Dez. If he's just a guy who can fulfill the basic requirements of the position, just grab someone late day 2 to day 3 and use your practice squad as a farm system. A WR just needs to run where they're supposed to run, catch what the QB throws to them, and block who they're supposed to block. Bonus points if they're a RKG.

BPA.
It's just not that complicated. If the best player on the board is a WR, take him. If it's a DE, take him. If it's a kicker, fire your entire scouting staff, because it's not a kicker. If it's a QB, there's got to be a trade down available to you. The only time a reach is allowed next year is if the BPA is a RB and you can't trade out.

If you can draft another Zeke at #32 overall you don't trade the pick ..... you turn in the card for the RB.

That all depends on what's being offered. If teams believe there's another Zeke available at #32, somebody will give up a boatload for him.

WR is definitely pretty high on our list,we came very close to drafting one with our 2nd rd pick.Expect a Beckham type, wish we had Will Fuller.

Like i said in my most recent mock, I will be screaming at the TV to draft John Ross out of Washington if he is available with our 1st.

Whether fans like it or not, they will pick the top player in there board in the first. Alot of us want a pass rusher, but where we will likely be drafting I don't a DE being the top talent when its time to turn. Could very well be a WR. Dont sleep on a TE as unpopular as that would. Loaded class and the top talent available could easily be a TE

I wouldn't have any problems taking Jake Butt the TE from Michigan with a late 1st rounder if he is available. He is the prototype NFL tight end.

It is highly unlikely that the only available talent left in a given tier would only be a rb.
