A trade down with Minny has been the ideal scenario to me all along. We will likely still get one of the top 2 tackles or DEs in the draft at 12. We'll then have the ammo to move up for an additional 1st or 2nd.

Lombardi said on Bill Simmons podcast yesterday that everyone he has talked to believes that it's a done deal that McNabb is going to go to the Vikings. The Vikings still believe they are still a Superbowl contender and they're going to go with a veteran QB next year. That doesn't mean they're necessarily out of the market for a young QB to groom, but I question if they want one so badly they're willing to trade up and then reach for a 2nd tier QB with a Top 10 draft pick.

But then again, if they love Jake Locker (as reported), they'll have to jump ahead of Shanny at #10.

I agree about McNabb, I think that happens.

And I think the Vikings will handle their draft accordingly.

I see them as a prime candidate to trade down to try to recoup that wasted 3rd round pick.
