This offseason has been great so far... The Cowboys are on track to make a drastic improvement in my opinion.

But....

What injury would hurt the Cowboys improvement the most?

I think losing Ferguson, especially after training camp would be the single most devastating injury. In fact, it might force the Cowboys back to the 4-3, and the rookies would have to learn the defense all over again. Training camp would have been a waste with all the time spent implementing the 3-4. I certainly hope it doesn't happen, and if it does who would step up? Glover and Ellis rotating at NT?? Ratliff?

Your thoughts...

Roy Williams. Without him no intimidation facotr. Less effective blitz. Gaping hole at Fs becomes even bigger.

I hate threads like these but I think it's Jones. A-Train and Barber are definitely worthy backups but, if Julius goes down, I'm not confident that the running game will be able to continue to carry the Offense.

It'll still be J Jones. None of the backs behind him are proven threats. Sure A Train has been in the league but you don't need to game plan around him. Barber III is a rookie unknown. Without JJ, the offense will be in big trouble. Bledsoe will be a sitting duck and our pedestiran WRs will be hung out to dry.
The D will be ok because we got some depth. It's the O that will determine how far we go this yr.

I think LT. Flozell. We have promising depth here but a loss of a starting LT is always crucial.

I'll go with Bledsoe on offense and Ferg on defense. Losing either would really change the way those units would play big time.

Ya beat me to it, Big Dog. If the kids aren't ready yet, Bledsoe going down would do them in. On the other hand, there would be no better way to find out if they can play in the NFL. On defense, Woodson's already gone ( :( )
and everything else is still an unknown.

Jason Ferguson. He is kind of the key to our conversion, and even in 4-3 looks will be very valuable.

I answer them because I enjoy participating in well-thought out discussions about the team I love. I hate threads like these though because it reminds me of the fact that, for all the hard work the Cowboys have done this offseason, our entire season could be thrown into a horrendous tailspin with a Torn ACL here or a Broken Bone there.

But that can happen to any team, i mean what happens to the Colts when Manning goes down, we saw waht happened to the falcons when Vick goes down, that can be atrributed to any team, just depeneds on the postion, If lets say Barnes goes down with an injury are we gonna lose the season, seriously doubt that, but what if Roy does? THis can happen to any team, which is why nothing is garenteed in todays NFL
