Considering this team is likely to be horrid this year, the mid-season type of hope should be put on hold and let him come back next year to as full health as he can be. The games this year will likely be about development, so there is zero need to risk his career

Doesn't matter. 2nd major injury in 3 years. He has been in the sideline more games than he has played..coming in mid season off a major knee injury is not going to be fully ready. It takes a year to get back to normal...

Yeah...that's hard to come back from. But. I can remember when an ACL tear was a career-ender. Today, players come back from it all the time. Medical tech advances so fast now. You never know. But you are probably right. Expecting him to come back the same....probably not realistic. Especially if he comes back Thanksgiving.

If we are out of the playoff race, then I think we should keep him on ice until next year.

I wouldn’t depend on a player that tore his ACL twice in two years. Whatever we get from the kid is gravy. To bad because he has a good attitude and work ethic.
