What pick would you need in the 2016 draft to trade Byron Jones? (As of today; no conditions.)

Not sure how/if I can post a poll, but was something along the lines of:

-Top 3
-Top 5
-Top 10
-Top 15
-Top 20
-Top 25
-First Round

I don't see Byron as a top 10 pick. He's not too far off from where he was taken. Maybe in the 15-20 range.

Don't know. I wouldn't trade a first rounder for him.

That surprises me. I wouldn't trade him for a late first - I'm thinking around the top 15 range. He had a lot on his plate last year, but I think his athletic ability will make him a difference maker once he gets some more seasoning.

Yeah, I was going to say 20-25 range.
But he's more ready to play (and help) now than he was at the beginning of last season.
So maybe higher

Both Jones and Collins could probably net you a 1st Rd pick somewhere after 15-20. They are both young, have proven they can play, have 4 years and 3 years of team control and most importantly are cheap labor. Jones is relatively cheap for 3 more years + 5th year option and Collins is dirt cheap for 3 more years. All of this equates to them not dealing then as well.

I'm more interested in what Learys value would be. I imagine it's somewhere between a 3rd and a 4th.

Based on last seasons performance, I'd say top 10/15. How many guys started on Defense in their Rookie Season last year? Now project that had he played one position instead of switching between CB and S. Further project that as he gets experience and what is a player like that worth?

OMG:omg:

After watching him get worked over by the Commanders and Jets the final 2 games of the year....I know I would like a do over...

I just don't think that kid is very smart....or understands zone concepts.

Rookie defensive backs struggle. He had plenty of flashes the other way, too. I'm actually shocked to hear some suggest he's not worth the initial investment. I didn't mean to exclude opinions by not included 2nd round as an option. I really just didn't think anyone felt that way.

Tough question. Since the team made the moronic move of moving him all over the secondary instead of putting him in one role it really makes it hard to judge just how good he actually is.

Well, not that it matters but according to at least two different redrafts, Byron Jones should have been taken at 11 and 13 respectively. I don't put much stock into those kinds of things but me personally, I think he played pretty well for us. I expect big things out of that kid.

Guess we'll see.
