What Is Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's Net Worth?

The former pro wrestler is now one of the biggest movie stars in the world.

Every time Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson appears in a World Wrestling Entertainment (NYSE:WWE) ring he pads his bank account for relatively little work.

Show up, raise an eyebrow, deliver his signature catchphrases, maybe throw a "People's Elbow," and the one-time wrestling champion, now major movie star, earns millions a year. World Wrestling Entertainment does not publish wrestler pay, but The Rock remains one of its biggest stars and merchandise sellers even though he only appears a few times a year.

Though he appeared at WrestleMania and still cashes some hefty WWE checks (reported to be about $3.5 million a year) the bulk of Johnson's $52 million in 2014 earnings, according to Forbes, camefrom his movie paychecks.

Though estimates vary, sources ranging from OK! Magazine toCelebrityNetWorth.com peg Johnson's fortune at between $125 million and $150 million. That estimate seems a little high given that the star has gone through a divorce, but Johnson's split from Dany Garcia in 2008 was not a typical breakup. The two, who split custody of their child, remain in a business relationship and Garcia did not take any alimony, TMZreported.

Instead, she remains Johnson's business partner, earning over $700,000 a year as his financial manager and sometimes producing partner. That deal, which is especially rare for high-profile divorces, leaves "The Rock" with most of his fortune intact, making the $125 million-$150 million estimate plausible.

He has a new series starting this summer where he plays a former player who is now an agent or handler located in the Miami area.

Looks to be a little bit of a comedy and a drama. Going to be on HBO.

i have to admit he's one of those "character not actors" but most people actually are to me. that said, i do enjoy him in movies but i gave up WWE long long ago when my WWE watching buddy passed away.

insane amount of money but hey, more power to him.

He is ok to watch in some of his movies...some of the disney ones were a tad too cheesy for me.

This new series looks like he will be good in as it is him being funny and cocky like his wrestling persona...as far as the WWE goes...The last time I watched it was before John Sena (sp?) was introduced.

if they were all in their prime, who was the best?

sly?
arnold?

From the previews, it kind of looks similar to the ESPN Series they had years ago called Playmakers. Only ran for 1 season rumored to be from NFL pressure beung applied, but it was a very good show. I'm looking forward to watching Ballers (the HBO series he's going to be in). If anyone hasn't seen that ESPN series, it might be worth digging around to find. Showed a lot of of the field stuff that I can completely believe being accurate.

At one time Dwayne Johnson was in negotiations to play Lobo in a possible DC comics movie about that character. That never got off the ground. He will now be Black Adam in the Shazam movie in a few years. The news yesterday was that Johnson was going to be in a remake of Big Trouble in Little China. I always liked that movie.

For me Arnold/Sly are about even. But you can't wrong with either one.

you'd be hard pressed to call either of them an "actor" per se, but given a better range of parts, i'd say sly was the overall better of the 2. i mean, rhinestone?

as for the other posts, i saw big trouble in little china and can't wait to see that one! black adam i don't recall much because i never got much past the legs on the female shazam and lost interest when even a dog could bark it and turn superhero it seemed.
