I know its only pre-season but i figured it would be cool to find out what people on the board are doing to celebrate football being back since we were deprived of it Sunday. I am having a bbq with all of my friends some Cowboys fans some not, just to get together and watch the game. What are ya'll doing?

I'm in San Diego so I'm only 1.5 hours away from the stadium. I was REALLY debating whether I want to go see the game in person or just watch it at home/sports bar

I'll watch it some while recording it.
Great to be getting closer to real football in a few weeks, so there's that.

With no game planning, it's really hard to tell if someone who appears to be doing well really is, in fact, doing well enough.

Better than a stick in the eye though:starspin:

I will watch it at home. Will watch all of it also.
I know a lot of so called fans will blow it off, as they think it is a waste of time. Or act as if they don't care. That is their choice.
But I will watch it all. I do want to see some of the young players. And it's not about if 2nd team player looks great against a 3rd team player. It's about, did they do what they were supposed to do.

Did the FA LB stay home and defend his area. Did one of our young DE's make the right read and move to get a sack. I don't care if it was against a FA OL camp fodder. Did our DE do what he was taught to do from the coaches. Now most of us can't tell that from just watching, as we don't always know what the scheme really was. So I am sure we will get the "play it down" comments as well as the "play it up" comments. But if we hear it from the coaches, then we will know.

Thing is what we hear from the coaches is always general comments. So we rely of some skewed media and posters opinions. LOL.

I'm off, fortunately. The Family has been formally notified and shall stay clear of the area 2 hours before/after the game (per usual). Steak, potatoes and green beans are on the menu as are a few bottles of triple/quadruple ale ('Sixth Glass' is a new favorite). I'm looking at D.Jackson to tear it up along with Tapper, Brown and Frazier.

I'll be in LA Thursday!!! Visiting my brother... I had planned to go to this game but he mentioned they only had high priced nose bleed seats available... So we are going to record it and instead go see the LA Galaxy play at home. I've never been to a MLS game and my bro knows ppl that know ppl so my seats are going to be ridiculous.
