First, instead of cleaning house after an awful loss to Philly and not to mention a pathetic loss to close out Texas Stadium. Jerry stands by his man???

Wade is soft, terrible as a head coach...his track record proves it (0 playoff wins) he ran a soft training camp and basically lets the players do what they want. GREAT LEADER

Now he releases TO?????? a 9 mill cap hit???? I'm not a defender of TO but no one can argue that he was a productive player for us. Why not trade TO for Kitna, release RW SS...move Henry to safety??

I just don't get it.

some thing right for once

What do you people not get? NOBODY is stupid enough to pay TO 9 million a year. Even Jerry freaking Jones is not that stupid anymore. Thank God.

He's thinking of the "team" and results on the field rather than marketing dollars.

He's making the right move.

Obviously since we got nothing for him, teams didn't want to trade for TO.

Henry was probably going to be cut, might as well trade him for a backup QB something we needed.

Who knows what will happen to Roy SS.

If Jerry would of signed a 35 year old WR named Owens today this board would be in a uproar with the "old players" and "retread" threads but the fact that he released one is causing an uproar.

I'm glad the sucker is gone.

I feel like dancing on the Star today! :dance2: :fogeys:  :beatit: :mchammer:

Yes, an uproar in the best way possible: I have hope again. Gotta cut the cancer out. Still work to do: barbie, ellis and maybe crayton next.....

I can't defend his other moves, but releasing TO was the first step of making us a legitimate team, and not a joke.

Congratulations Jerry.

Henry is to fragile to play safety and he can't tackle

The only question I have is...What Took Him So Long?!?!?!

Should have released Owens when he released Pacman Jones.

It's a Good Day for the Cowboys.

Jerry finally cracked the whip with getting rid of Pac, Tank and now TO.

Whip it...Whip it good.

What took Jerry so long likely was getting a consensus and weighing the acquisition options to replace a key offensive player. Whether you liked T.O. or not he still had serious ability even at the age of 35. But his compensation and ability to distract and generate turmoil may not have been comensurate with another season of playing for the Cowboys.

To make a trade you have to have someone willing on the other end of the trade. Trades do not happen because 1 team wants to, it takes 2 to tango and 2 for a trade to happen. :laugh1:
