Isaw this on the DMN website about Dez deserving to get paid the moon but the comment about lee struck me as odd. I half never thought Lee as esseively paid.

First they didn't want to pay Murray now they don't want to pay Bryant but paid S. Lee who has never lived to his contract and Claiborne gets thrown under the bus,the Cowboys are pathetic and deserve to be mediocre again going 5_11 for the next 3 years straight.

Dude you dont seem to be in in the no.

Why do you purposefully misspell words? I don't get you "bit" posters. You and @CCBoy are kindred spirits.

8/21/2013: Signed a seven-year, $42.63 million contract. The deal contains $16.1 million guaranteed. Another $9 million is available through incentives. 2015: $2.5 million, 2016: $3 million, 2017-2019: $7 million, 2020: Free Agent

He got paid 16.1 million guaranteed in 2013 and played 11/32 games. Less than 50%.

Except I don't think CCBoy is actually trying to be a gimmick.

Was just going to ask him this myself.

Sean Lee signed a very team friendly contract. He got a lot of up front guaranteed money, but that basically just means that he is on the team for a number of years.

He has the opportunity to earn his money, but we don't lose out if he doesn't play, minus the loss of his talent. With this year I believe he has already earned all of his guaranteed money.

It makes sense to at least keep him the next two years (this year and next). In 2017 if he doesn't maintain his health, you can cut him, and that is another reason people shouldn't be angry with our investments in linebackers. McClain and Lee might not be here for much longer. We might even have to draft a linebacker in the top 3 rounds next year.

No act or disdain need be given or surrendered. Play like logic wasn't presented.

That isn't an insult as your direction leaves in full view...and not stupid as implied.

No need to when cavalier is prominently displayed. And that post exploded in brilliance, uh, in your own eyes.

I am pretty sure he is paid in the US Dollar form, not in Pesos, Korean Won, Japanese Yen currency....

couldn't resist....

Lee signed a deal getting a fair amount of guaranteed money initially but then the latter stages of his contract had low yearly salaries unless he managed to play a certain number of games. He did not meet those escalator clauses because of his injuries the last 2 years. I think he only gets $2.5M this year and then $3M next year.

In 2017 his salary goes up to $7M/yr and looks like a candidate to be released or get a paycut at that point. He would only have $3.9M left on the salary cap so it would be easy to release him in terms of deadcap at that point.

You forget I am part of the burn barrel crowd.
