We re-signed Prescott, CD Lamb
We don’t resign players on the defensive line we let them go
We did not add any help to the offensive line except for the draft ,rookies
Same running backs as last season. We let the best one go ,and take back Elliot.
So if Jerry’s plan was to blow the season, why did he resign Prescott and CD?
Couldn’t Possibly think this team was good enough to win the division, never mind a championship
it has nothing to do with him being cheap and not wanting to spend money.
Has nothing to do with the salary cap, that can be manipulated
If he was looking to blow the season and get a top three pick, wouldn’t it be a quarterback and why did he sign Prescott?
Does any of this make any sense to you?
Don’t complain, given an honest explanation.
Does he really think the roster is good enough,
Does he really think McCarthy is the answer

We’re also been playing basically with our second string. We should be getting our four best past rushes back.

I am not sure we even have a GM. We have more like an Owner who does not want to have to pay for a GM or a President.

I am sorry, you are talking about Jerry Jones... JERRY JONES...you know you are talking about Jerry Jones....right? the Jerry Jones. nothing makes sense with him. once you get that, then it will all make sense.
why it makes sense? none of it is a football move...they are all business and money moves.... now, look at what happened again, from a money perspective and it will make sense. Keep in mind CD and Dak were top 10 and top 15 in Jersey sales.

Jerry has said openly that he would give up the vast majority of his wealth in trade for another championship and I believe him. The problem is he’s also trying to manage this team and he lacks the vision and mental capacity to do that. It’s time for him to step aside and allow a younger, more up to speed and current time to come in. Whether we as fans or the front office as management recognizes it, the Cowboys are in a rebuilding phase and it’s gonna get worse after this season. This team is not going anywhere until there extreme changes from the top down.

It may not make sense...but it does make cents. And once one realizes this, it actually does make sense. Winning is secondary, maximized profit is paramount.

2024 is being called a "salary cap re-set" by the Cowboys.

What does that mean? Came from the guy who said he was "all in" so who knows.
I guess that’s the bottom line, there is no answer. And he’s not going to give us one. Everything else I guess is speculation.

Yeah I am not sure what he was thinking either. We either overvalued our talent or are 'reloading' this year and not saying it (he may think 2025 with a new coach is the focus). He clearly isn't 'rebuilding' or he wouldn't have signed Dak.

We refuse to sign any free agent that isn't a bargain, so that limits what you can do in the offseason.

The only thing he is admitting is that they may have had too high of expectations for a young/rookie OLine. Haven't gotten anything else out of him.

Honestly, who knows? The most annoying part is the way he set our offense up to fail by not addressing our run game, and he didn't address run defence. But, that's why I think the result of Sunday's game is critical.

That’s the NFL, that’s not necessarily the Cowboys organization. Jerry wants a championship make no doubt about that. His ego was too big and that’s the biggest thing he wants.

We did not add to the OLine. We replaced in the draft. It looks like a rebuild to me.

I am hopeful there is a plan to trade Dak.

Jerry did not want to let Dak walk for no compensation. Dak had the no trade clause and teams were willing to wait until next year and get him as a FA.

Jerry had to give Dak a deal he could not pass on $60M and or his agent has helped pre negotiate a trade for next season

Tomlin and the Steelers in my opinion are a SB contending team minus a QB. Tomlin went out of his way to compliment/admire Dak after they lost to us.

Don't ruin my conspiracy theory.

Forgot to add - Jerry is saving money to be able to eat some dead money during the trade.

I honestly don't understand. I thought when we didn't sign anyone in FA we were readying ourselves to let Prescott go and absorb the incoming dead cap. Then we resigned him...and now I don't know what to think. Maybe Jerry was hoping they could go with Lance and then his poor play crushed that idea and caused Jerry to panic. Maybe he thought that MM and Zimmer could do something with this roster. I can usually see where Jerry is coming from with his decisions even if I don't agree but I just don't understand the recent moves at all.

Once he drafts Boise RB Jeanty with pick #6 overall, he will have his triplets back, and Jerry will rule the league once again….

Jerry did not want to let Prescott go without compensation. That’s probably both the most sense I’ve heard. No pun intended.

That’s not what he said. He said if you all k ew the price he’d pay to have another Super Bowl it would surprise you. Big difference.

Jerry is an owner cosplaying at being a GM. He doesn’t actually have any of the skills or do the nitty gritty tasks of a real GM. He’s only concerned with owning the most valuable sports franchise in the world. He perpetually gaslights the fans with provable lies. This team won’t ever win anything as long as he’s the GM.

He still has a no trade clause
