I would have to say the Montana to Clark TD in the NFC title game. It changed the direction of each franchise for over a decade. I still hate seeing that play like it was yesterday. Still hurts and had the most lasting impact I think.
I totally agree about the game but I believe an earlier play in the same game was the most importand play in the Cowboys' history.

We should have been able to keep to ball and run out the clock on the previos drive. During that drive on third down Danny White under threw a very easy pass to White Lightening and he was unable to catch it. We then punted and the rest is history.

Also, after The Catch, Danny White threw a pass to Pearson that could have gone all the way for a game-winning touchdown, but a 49ers defender just barely managed to tackle Pearson.

How about having to settle for a 22 yard FG in the fourth quarter? Pretty tough in a close game where we ended up losing by one point.

Although I was a toddler when it happened, I'd have to say the Lilly sack.

Many great plays but 1 game I can think of that was in my view the most important game was a reg season game in 71 when Roger took over as the starting QB and never gave it back up.

Prior to that game Morton and Roger had battled for the spot and yet Landry could not make up his mind. After the Cardinals game that Roger started we won and would go on the remainder of that season undefeated and winning out 1st SB
