The Seahawks are expected to release Richard Sherman and Jeremy Lane, Kam Chancellor has a career threatening neck injury, and they’re listening to trade offers for Earl Thomas. My question for you guys is what is the trade value for Byron Jones & Orlando Scandrick? I want to package them and maybe a day 3 pick for Earl Thomas.

On a side note, what is the trade value for Cole Beasley? I’m willing to part with him since we have his younger, cheaper clone already on the roster.

Next to nothing.

Part because one is old and expensive, the other because Jerry and Stephen Jones would not know how to market a trade to save their lives.

It appears you are under the delusion that this front office is touch with the rest of the league and is open for business.

They are a complete self contained unit. They are not approachable in terms of trades. They are more consumed about other things than the trivial talent acquisition game.

if we're talking about cutting scandrick....other teams have heard it....so.......they aint tradin...they just wait us out.

and if teams are beating down our doors to trade for Byron Jones(they're not)....hell,we might as well keep him.

There will be several scandrick level vet CB’s on the market. No one is trading for his inflated contract.

Byron? Ehh I could see a team maybe giving us a late 4th thinking they can turn him into a player. Would be a very Belicheck move.

I have no idea what the asking price for Thomas is. Our 2nd and Byron Jones seems like it would be bare minimum asking price based on reading media reports saying the Seahawks have a pretty high asking price. And that’s just me guessing, that might not be close to enough. I honestly would put better odds on Sherman in a Cowboy uni than Thomas.

A ham sammich, minus the Dr Pepper And Chips though..

Scandrick. Lucky to get a conditional 6th.

Jones . Maybe a 5th..

Probably nothing...but why trade Jones? He's young a solid starter for us with room for improvement.

I'm excited to see Jones coached by the same guy who coached Sherman, Thomas and Chancellor.

I'm anxious to see if they actually move him to CB.

But yea, that dude from SEA has to be a solid coach!

Scandrick - Near zero.

Jones - The act of offering him in a trade reduces his value because the other team sees that your giving up on a 1st round pick. If a team called to ask for Jones he would have more value.

Beasley - Not much now considering his stats for 2017.

His salary is 3M. He would likely get more if they cut him. Any CB with some ability tends to get more than 4M per.

TRADE VALUE
1. Scandy- probably nothing. He’s over 30 and has missed 30 some odd games that last 4-5 years so little value there.
2. Byron Jones- still only 24 and has that athleticism. He could probably garner a 3rd or 4th. (I still say with better coaching this guy can play)
3. Beasley- he’s at a position where there’s not a premium of need out there. I think we way overpaid him (typical Jerry for a WR) but I don’t think there’s much more than a 4th-5th-6th round interest. Home town fans usually overrate favorites like Beas.

That was Pete Carrol. Carrol has always been a great DB coach. He's had a greater affect on the play of that defensive backfield than anyone. Richard is a good coach, but I think people are putting too much at his feet and forgetting how tremendous a coach Carrol is.

Put Beasley on the Pats and he would have a career year.
