What Is There To Look Forward To Next Season?

During the offseason, I always seem to look forward to the next season, eager for it to start, the draft, training camp, etc.

But this time it's different. If Wade is still at the helm, I'm not going to be looking forward to anything but know its most likely going to be a below .500 season, which it will be if we keep him.

The last two games proved this. The team doesn't even want him here. The only thing I can think of is sacks. Sacking the QB thats it, even so, look how our defense played yesterday.

I also think that Wade was told personally by Jerry that he's staying, for him to go out to a PC and say that things will change next season.

I guess the plus is that Cowher said he wouldn't come back in 09, but maybe in '10, where Jerry may finally get a clue to turn away his ego and let the coach hire his staff, and have a both player friendly and disciplined team at the same time.. That's what you get out of Cowher.

Honestly, even if jerry brought in a new coach, what are the odds he wins a SB in his first season here?

I see nothing to be excited about next season other than the fact that there will be a football season. That's about it.

Jerry has totally screwed us and this mess will take more than a year to clean up.

The new stadium should be nice. That's something to look forward to, I guess.

Defense wasn't that bad. The offense hung them out to dry.

How wasn't it that bad?

Look at our INT's

Look at how poor our safeties play.

Look at our missed tackling/poor tackling the last two games.

Good point! And in 2010, we'll actually have a first round pick to look forward to.

Never said it was good but we were in the game until the last two minutes when our offense completely self destructed.

Bad time to ask this question, try again around June or July and you will get a different answer.

Maybe not the first year, but at least give us hope. Wade won't be getting us there, so might as well start now.

There are first year coaches right now, changing their teams, in the playoffs, which is still in front of where we are right now.

Baltimore
Arizona
Atlanta
Miami

Watching your favorite football team play football?

Yeah, there's no doubt I will, but come on... It's kind of like emergency time here, with the team having maybe the most disappointing season in team history, the TO warning meter rising as of late, the team playing with no heart.

All coming from the coaching staff, which will be returning next season.

If we didn't have the expectations that we do, that's one thing, but what we have here and to have no changes to our staff is pathetic.

Hey man you're preaching to the choir, I agree with you. The sooner we get started cleaning this mess up the sooner we get back to the playoffs. Right now, jerry is simply re-arranging chairs on the deck of the Titanic.

It's not emergency time. You tweak a few things, get guys healthy, reload and go at it again. We're not the Lions. We were a borderline playoff team with a wealth of talent.

Better rookie players, better free agent players, players coming back from injury (Jones, Kosier, McBriar, Williams), players gettting a full training camp (Williams, Holland, Battle, Bollinger) better offensive plays, better defensive plays, better special team plays, Cowboys 50th season, 5th straight winning season, new stadium with 80,000 fans and my favorite thing to look forward to...new cheerleaders!

:)
