What is wrong with Gallup?

Gallup basically ran go routes. He’s always had a mediocre target to catch ratio. He’s hovering at the same ratio every year he’s been here, which is 50 percentile.

Dallas is also running more 3 TE personnel, so that’s probably affecting his targets too.

Plus our QB can’t scan the field worth Jack squat.

Actually it is #4's fault...1 read....then dump off. He can't read defenses....

Yup, completely the QBs fault for MG not being the same guy after injury. I agree.

They should’ve let Dak do the surgery and manage the rehab.

Since returning, he's eclipsed 50 yds once. 11 he's and he's got 339 yds receiving.

Methinks we gave the contract to the wrong guy here.
Can't expect that much from a player who is dealing with a bad knee. He's still rehabbing it from the surgery that he had last season.

Moore is part of the problem. Gallup should be running more than 2 routes (slants and fades/streaks).

And if he can't separate, then send him on some crossing routes, or posts. Find what he can do best.

Still recovering from ACL injury- he hasn't regained his previous form.

He's cumbersome and laboring to make cuts and breaks and he just cannot gain separation, and as he used to
be a weapon on deep bombs and go routes, he cannot even do that this year.

With a full offseason workings and camp (he was a PUP this year) he could be much closer to his pre_ACL form.
But apparently that's just not gonna happen This year in '22.

Expecting him to be 100% at any point this year was dumb in the first place.

Nothing wrong will Gallup, he is on a normal recovery timeline…but there is a lot wrong with Jerry for counting on Gallup to be the same guy this season.

CD does not command Double teams and that is causing problems for guys that used to be single covered and the aforementioned knee issue

He’s never been a great separator but pre injury he was a good separator and could win 1:1s. Now he’s below average in that regard.

It kills our passing game not having a good #2 when we need it.
Last year Cee Dee was our #2, this year it's Brown and now Gallup. See the difference?

He has Michael Irvin type numbers.

And like Irvin he now plays on a run first offense.

10-4 and #1 in the NFL in scoring. See the difference? Nope not at all.

Yea. I see it every time Noah drops a pass that turns into an INT.

Just wait til the playoffs when we play a good run D that makes us throw more. I’d love to be wrong, but am afraid I won’t be.

Really, how often has Brown done that? Since it happens every time right?

Our run game is better, our Oline is better, our TE's are better. Lamb is better. All those things make up for a slight drop off going from Cooper to Gallup.

Twice.

And no, if you’re struggling to run the ball your run game doesn’t make up for having a crap WR room in the playoffs against a quality opponent.

Players can come back from a torn acl the following season and be effective.

MG hasn’t and his contract looks like a massive mistake by Jerry and the organization
