What is wrong with our run game?

Do we really know the talent is there? The OL looks good and tired. Maybe it is just injury, but they haven't been the same all year. The passing protection has been decent, but I put a lot of that on Dak and his ability to avoid pressure.

I don't really have an answer why we are playing so poorly. But I do know that the screen has been under-utilized.

I think its more of a talent issue. Interior DL and safety play. That’s half of your defense right there.

Nothing wrong with this team! Gonna run the table and win it all!

I think our offensive line has become a LOT better at pass-protecting than run blocking. See (Patriots)

Unfortunately I think Fred is the weak link.

We aren't using Pollard.

Pollard is a good change of pace but he doesn’t have the vision Zeke has. My biggest concern is Zeke has lost that quick and decisive first step when he’s gotta make a move in a running lane. He was always elite at doing that. It’s just not there right now.

So. Defenses zoned in on Emmitt too, but he follwed his blockers unlike Zeke (and actually ran on the outside but Zeke refuses to do that).

No. Defenses didn't stack the box against Smith like they do against Zeke because Aikman had a great receiving corps and was a great QB. Running lanes will open when teams keep getting beaten up by Dak through the air.

Zeke took several carries to the outside today, btw.

Players don't execute , its on all the players .

We have a heck of a coach .

Calling every single run play down the middle, thats on Zeke not executing .

Teams are selling out to stop the run. The idea is that, if Dallas can run the ball, they're not going to stop running. If Dallas can't run the ball...they're not going to stop running. You can bait Garrett into wasting a lot of first downs running into loaded boxes.

We had the right idea today. If they're going to bring their safety down and stack the line with defenders, PA off that and bomb it downfield to one-on-one WRs. I don't like how long it takes to set up the PA in the face of a blitzing defense, but it was murder today. It'll be fun to see how many defenses Dak rips up before teams adjust; maybe as soon as next week against Bill Belichick.

lol. Zeke has no vision.

I watched all of Aikman's games. Aikman HAD a great defense to help him get good field position (unlike Dak's D). And Aikman had Norv Turner calling his offense for his recievers.
