We all know that the dude can't cover but why is he sucking so much in the running game? He's coming up soft on taking on blocks. He's missing tackles, he has guys bouncing off his tackles every once in awhile. He just doesn't seem to be as aggressive. Could he be hurt?

Because 90% of Cowboys fans put him on the highest pedestal after 1 good year. The truth of the matter is Roy Williams is nothing but a below average safety. Actually he is a average LB playing the role of a below average safety.

Roy is notorious for not wrapping up when he tackles. It irks me to no end. He tackles with his shoulders, allowing runners and receivers to get extra yards after the catch. And if he isn't blowing people up with big hits, he loses his enthusiasm and becomes a complete non-factor. At times, he can be a playmaker, but the times are too few and far between.

Ware, Aaron Glenn, Newman, etc all have pride.

One thing that did surprise me today was that we were 9-5, and immediately after the first Philadelphia drive, our defense immediately stuck its head between its legs, and gave up.

On that last rushing touchdown by Philly, I saw Roy come up and take on the blocker with his shoulder, completely ignore the runner and then run into another blocker with his shoulder while the runner ran into the endzone.

He looks sluggish out there. Looks like he's going through the motions to me.

Roy needs to start playing better ASAP. I think he will.

I have yet to see him do anything that would change my mind. When Roy comes out and fires up the team and makes game changing plays like Dawkins, Taylor and Reed do just once in a big game game perhaps then he will be worth half of what he's getting payed and deserve half of the praise he gets.
