Arnold's Fried Green Tomatoes. Not sure if this is the recipe, but it is the BEST:

Arnold's Fried Green Tomatoes

(given by Jack’s son, Kahlil Arnold)

2 cups all-purpose flour
3 whole green tomatoes
2 cups apple juice
5 eggs
1 dash Tabasco (Diner Secret!)
2 cups cornmeal (seasoned with salt and pepper)
2 tablespoons basil
1. Cut the tomatoes into 12 to 15 slices. Coat slices in flour. Dip in mixture of apple juice, egg whites, and Tabasco. Dip into mixture of cornmeal and basil.
2. Fry in oil until brown.

Those look yummy. I've had fried green tomatoes before and they were good. But that recipe looks even better.

My favorite tho is Jalapeno peppers stuffed with Jack cheese and batter dipped n fried.

Dangit, I knew it was one of two, and that was my other choice. :banghead:

Come on down to the Texas State Fair next year, Sarge. They can fry you up some PBR, guaranteed.

Edit, I promise I hadn't seen Rynie's post when I typed that. But it is common knowledge that the State Fair can fry anything!
