American Graffiti

There are so many I truly enjoy I couldn't begin to name them all, but that one is my favorite.

Great pick. I fell in love with Cindy Williams in that movie.

I accidentally left that one and "Jaws" off my list.

My favorites would include:

A Beautiful Mind
Edward Scissorhands
Last of the Mohicans
Road to Perdition
Usual Suspects
Shawshank Redemption
Training Day
Mystic River
12 Monkeys
Seven
And a recent movie in Inside Man

And if it isn't obvious by my movie selection, I tend to most enjoy movies that don't have your typical "hollywood" ending but instead leave you with a bittersweet feeling.

Outlaw Josey Wales

Honerable mentions

Cinderella Man and just about anything Ron Howard comes out with.

I'm also becoming a big Russell Crowe fan.

Paul Newman in Cool Hand Luke, Hud, The Hustler (with Jackie Gleason & George C. Scott), and The Long Hot Summer.

Cape Fear with Robert Mitchum & Gregory Peck.

not to pick on you, but... seriously?? ugh

Yes seriously. Nobody does action better. I admit, none of them have really strong scripts, but for pure action splendor, you can't beat them. Bad Boys 2 and Pearl Harbor did have quite a bit of flaws though, and were a bit disappointing to me, but still entertaining. I think The Rock, is probably the best straight on action film since Die Hard, with the exception of The Matrix, if you don't put that into a sci-fi/action category. Really looking forward to the Transformers movie next year. One since I'm a Bay fan, and 2 because my wife is a huge Transformers geek.

And let me add one movie to my list. Can't believe I forgot it.

Better Off Dead.
