Bella check is struggling because he no longer has those first round draft picks in his pocket.

No. They are an okay team. Brady in his prime makes that team a real contender. Extra first rounders were helpful, but they would trade back tons of times (and sometimes to their detriment). An elite QB on an okay team is a contender. An okay QB on an elite team is a contender.

Don’t think it’s a boat rebuilding. I think it’s about constantly treating your players for higher draft pick players. I’m not having to have to pay this upcoming salary, but this franchise is too loyal to the team and they won’t do that. Just look at what the patriots did for ever , Trade the player when they were at their best
Part of the issue is you have to have a QB that’s not making the going rate for QBs. And two, they must be willing to part with productive players a year early, get assets back and replenish them. That also means no second round screw ups.

Course of action will depend completely on postseason success. First round loss almost definitely gets MM fired imo. If we lose in the 2nd, the staff gets another year.

The coaching decision will largely dictate what’s done with the roster but sure things are a franchise tag for Pollard and Zeke restructure.

You want a rebuild of the core of a team that is 12-4???????

If postseason success in the form of a conference championship game appearance while playing exceptionally the whole way does NOT happen, then YES. Getting to the postseason is done by basically half the league. Not a very high bar anymore. The core has proven they can meet that threshold. Now it is time to prove the team can be an actual contender by at least making the final four.

Blowing up is an aggressive word. I already said they could not move on from Dak for at least 2 seasons. The Eagles just value interior run defense more than this squad and don’t think as highly of its current players. This team over values its own young players and undervalues outside free agents. There are much better options lots of times-just takes cold hard analysis and tough business decisions. I would move on from Tyron, Zeke, and possibly DLaw before next season. I would trade any player over 27 with good/great draft capital in return.
Why would we want to move on from Dak though?

Because he would not be part of the solution to the postseason issue if they fizzle yet again. If the current core cannot get it done, the team should not be planning on any future with said core. This is the team’s best chance in the past 27 years as far as opponents in the NFC.

Now your talking about a completely different thing. You don't rebuild the core, you replace your QB.

Mahomes. Allen. Burrow. Those are what this team needs to win another championship. Not rebuilding the core.

The older core players will not be part of the new QB’s future.

I’m not really thinking core anything right now.
I’m in playoff football mode....Dallas in and they play where they play and who they play. Idc
What I do care about is this team has a ton to prove to themselves and others. They have zero cred and rep in playoff football. Till that changes...team won’t get respect from anybody
Stand tall and ball out in playoffs and the core player thing will work itself out
Bottom line like Al Davis said...Just win baby

I know they cannot move on from Dak for at least 2 years-no matter how the playoffs go.

I’m in favor of a general rebuild of the team’s core roster if they do not at least make it to the NFCCG, and play exceptionally then too.

Without that happening, I would not extend Dak’s contract and would look to move on from any player over 27 via trade or release. Stockpile picks and shop for a new QB over the next couple of seasons.

I’m fine retaining MM as long as Dan Quinn remains the defensive coordinator and they continue to invest in better lineman (defense and offense), linebackers, running game and defensive game heavy aims.
Lol!

What? The core of this team is playoff bound. Make improvements and such yes but you're talking about rebuilding a core that has double digit wins in consecutive years. How about have some patience and watch this machine continue it's refinery.

What's with all of the need for instant gratification all of the sudden?
27 years and counting

The key to a super bowl is to continue getting to the playoffs and eventually breaking through. Back to back 12+ win seasons with this core and coach is building continuity to continue to do that and build on success. You don’t move on from that as it is already incredibly hard to be where we are at- a consistent winner. The chances of us improving at the QB position through the draft is incredibly low.

Not to mention we have the #1 offense the last 2 years. It’s dumbfounding some of y’all’s takes on this. Low football IQ fans.

The QB on this team can either prove he is capable of helping this core move past thresholds or fizzle with the rest of the team. The playoffs are made by half the teams in the league (which makes your take absurd).

If the team was showing proof that they were progressing in the playoffs, then things would be different. The core has been building for going on a decade-the multiple runs should include actually advancing somewhere meaningful in the postseason. Otherwise, this is just a pretender of a squad that does not belong in the same sentence as true contenders. It’s just a good regular season squad that goes into the playoffs like they actually won something.

Buildings also move on timelines, and the deadline is now. Get it done this postseason or move on from the core. The number one offense got embarrassed by SF last year. If it meant something, it would do something meaningful in January/February.

Dak becomes a $49 million cap hit.

All decisions spawn from that.

What? Hungover I see. Re-build the core of the best team in football? Dak is my QB, I don't get the hate that people have for him.

  1. He is my QB.
  2. He is a leader.
  3. I am getting better sleep because he sold me a mattress.
  4. My sleep number is 4
Enjoy the ride brother, I have been watching since Staubach, this team is legit and will compete in the Superbowl. Each game is not perfect and this team has the swagger. Saddle up and get ready.

Go Dallas!!!

He may be hungover but you're apparently drunk.

I keep going back to Belichick. He would definitely trade bland for a high draft pic . He might even consider trading a best player and defense. You just keep replacing players with younger players and you don’t have to pay the salary. That’s why they were great for so many years.
He would trade them away before their second contract and then they would come back and resign with Patriots For the 3rd contract
