All Cowboy fans want the team to turn this right around and go on a major win streak (followed with great success in the post-season).

But, if the only choice is mediocrity or a crap out season (4-12 vs 8-8); what is your preference? I reckon that there are generally about 10 teams each year that eventually just mail it in and press the reset button. Another ten that are either building momentum and progressing (or good at beating the bottom feeders and scrape out a few close ones against others in this group). The other 12 are the elite squads and the pretenders.

No predictions please. What is your preference with these options and why?

4-12 no doubt. We get a new coach and new QB and still retain our talent. We do have some good talent.

I could never hope my team phones it in. Sorry. It's just speculative that something would be done. I highly doubt it. JG's contract doesn't run out until 2020. So he is going to be the coach for about 2 more years.

So we're going to spend the next 4 months rooting for draft position?

Another reason why college football has surpassed the NFL for me. There's never an incentive to root for failure.

Hence my first paragraph.
