What is your theory why this team has looked soft, frail, fatigued the last month?

Good topic.

Maybe how much they invested to go 4-1 while Cooper Rush played? I mean they did beat both participants in the Super Bowl last year. They beat the Giants....in NY....who are a playoff team.

Maybe the extra game? I know my fantasy league ended this past weekend...and I joked with my fellow competitors..."I'm spent, like I actually played...it's been a long season"!

They've also won 12 games in back to back seasons for the first time since the early 90s....so playing football at this high of a level is the first time this group has done that...and the first time this franchise has done that in quite some time. Whether we recognize it or not....that is a lot of pressure to deliver week in and week out...especially with the kind of scrutiny there is in Dallas.

The most important position on the OL was being manned by a rookie who did not have any reps in training camp at LT...so maybe he hit the wall

Micah Parsons is still a very young man trying to grow into his body...and he also is really not ready to play DE full time for 17 games.

Suffering injuries to 2 of our top 3 CBs.

Having 1 legitimate WR and a bunch of JAGs

Actually...it could be a combination of everything I mentioned. We simply overachieved and the weight of playing above our heads is weighing us down.

They’ve won, what? 3 playoff games in almost 3 decades?

Playing for this franchise allows players to become media stars without earning it. There’s no need to be hungry or show grit… win or lose these guys will still collect fat paychecks and be treated like rock stars. Jerry Jones talks a big game but it’s another unearned reputation, he doesn’t hold any coach or player accountable for poor performance and no one in that building feels pressure because they know his ego won’t allow him to swallow his pride and cut sunk costs. Remember, “We like our guys”, and this front office absolutely refuses to bring in outside talent or shake anything up so why the hell should anyone in that locker room care about the results?

They’re cowards and will bow out the minute a team gets physical with them. Tampa Bay will beat them into submission Monday Night. Dak Prescott knows he’s a hack, and will melt when the pressure is on once again.

Other than Micah Parsons, name one player that shows the attitude of a winner.......therein is the issue with this franchise. Jerry has created a culture of softness whereby players get their big contracts and then put it in cruise control.
Say what you will about Tom Brady in terms of his play this season but even at his age you find him screaming on the sidelines demanding better play out of himself and his teammates....he shows fire......Dallas barely musters a smoke signal on the sidelines.

The fans that pay the salaries of players and expect a winning franchise? Oh yeah, such hate.
Fans do not pay the salaries actually, what little counts toward it is miniscule. The TV networks do the most to pay, as well as the sponsors in advertisements.
And don't say, the fans stop going the team stops. There will always be fans replacing fans.

Lots of young players that are beat up and dealing with the grind of the long nfl schedule.
That’s all I got.

Micah has obviously been banged up. You could see it in the last game. When the stud of your defense is physically struggling, it trickles down to the whole defense. Likewise, losing arguably your best run blocker affects the offense's effectiveness.

Yep, The TV contract is driving force behind the salary increase and the cap increase.

In my opinion, it goes back to what McCarthy told us around late November or so.

They dialed down the practices and physical contact down the stretch. They play soft because they practice soft.

Roster depth has been one of the biggest issues with this team for a long time. They can't handle a starter going down.

Two things.

1. Lacking talent at key positions. If you lose the battle at the LOS, it is extremely hard to win the game.
2. Apparently it's simply mental weakness. We are not strong mentally on O, and we don't control the middle of the line on D.

Man, don't you guys watch other games? JAX won purely because of their DLine. That is what we need, not more WR's and CB's. Thinking we need to draft more skill players in the first two rounds is a very casual fan thought.
Gosh, I think you've been saying this for many years, but the FO doesn't seem to listen or understand. They'll never have an elite defense without an elite DT

Players don't seem very interested in the game and that's on coaching.

They're beat up and our depth is not great. We've lost quite a few players at key positions and have been playing musical chairs with the Oline. Look at who we've had to trot out in our secondary. Do those guys inspire you?

I get "every team has injuries", but when they start piling up, it makes it hard to overcome in a professional league like the NFL.
